  • Patent number: 8456188
Abstract: To discriminate whether a cable in conformity with a conventional standard or a cable in conformity with a new standard is connected. An HPD signal line (902) has, on an expanded HDMI sink apparatus (402) side circuit, a pull-up resistor (911) between the HPD signal line (902) and a voltage supply and a pull-down resistor (913) between the HPD signal line (902) and the ground, and a reserved line (903) has, on the expanded HDMI sink apparatus (402) side circuit, a pull-down resistor (914) between the reserved line (903) and a ground, and within a new HDMI cable (901), a pull-up resistor (912) between the reserved line (903) and a voltage supply of an expanded HDMI source apparatus (401). The expanded HDMI sink apparatus compares a voltage at a test point (19) on the reserved line (903) on the expanded HDMI sink apparatus (402) side with a reference voltage by using a voltage comparator (916).

  • Patent number: 6451005
Abstract: A catheter has a flexible tubular body and a reinforcing coil embedded in a wall of said body, wherein said catheter has an outer diameter not larger than 1.5 mm at a front end thereof, said body has a first region disposed within a range of 1-30 mm from said front end of said catheter and a second region nearer to a rear end of said catheter than said first region; said coil extends from a position inside said first region to said second region; a part of said coil disposed in said second region is wound at long winding pitches; and a winding pitch of a part of said coil disposed in said first region is shorter than that of the part of the coil disposed in said second region and becomes shorter gradually or stepwise toward said front end of said catheter, whereby a rigidity of said catheter is lower in said first region than in said second region.

  • Patent number: 5732940
Abstract: Printed sheets discharged from a copying machine are fed by a sheet feed mechanism through a sheet reception slot and stacked selectively onto a non-sorting tray in a non-sorting process or a tiltable sorting tray among a plurality of sorting trays which is located in a sheet receiving position in a sorting process or a grouping process. The sorting tray in the sheet receiving tray is in a first posture in which it is inclined to a horizontal surface by an acute angle. The posture of the sorting tray is changed from the first posture to a second posture in which it is substantially horizontal when it is moved from the sheet receiving position to a sheet removal position. A pile of printed sheets stacked on the tiltable sorting tray in the sheet removal position is gripped by a gripper mechanism. The gripped pile of printed sheets is placed over a vertically movable inclined stacking tray, and then released onto the stacking tray.

  • Patent number: 5673906
Abstract: A sheet post-treating apparatus has a horizontally disposed sorting tray to receive sheets. The sheets are discharged from the horizontally disposed sorting tray into a discharge tray. At least portions of the discharge tray can be moved vertically to accommodate varying height stacks of sheets.

  • Patent number: 5641160
Abstract: A sorter is provided with a plurality of movable sorting trays and a movement control device for controlling the movement of the movable sorting trays. The control device includes a sensor for detecting that a part of a screw rod passes through an index point which is remote from a stop position by a predetermined distance, a sensor for detecting the rotation of the screw rod and outputting a predetermined number of pulses in accordance with a predetermined moving distance of the screw rod. The control device is constructed in such a manner that it sets a stop pulse number according to the predetermined distance, counts the pulses from when the sensor detects that the screw rod passes through the index point, stops the movement of the sorting trays when the stop pulse number is count up, and controls a timing of the stop of the sorting trays in accordance with a moving condition of the sorting trays.

  • Patent number: 5634632
Abstract: A sheet post-treating apparatus includes a gripper that moves a pile of sheets from a sorting tray to a discharge tray. The position of the pile of sheets on the tray is selected between alternative discharge positions so that successive piles can be jogged. A stapler is provided along the path to a discharge position to engage the edge of the pile if stapling is desired.

  • Patent number: 5580038
Abstract: A sheet post-treating apparatus includes a stapler disposed along a path to a discharge port. A pile of sheets to be stapled at two locations along a lateral edge is driven toward the discharge tray until the downstream stapling location is at the stapler. The movement of the pile of sheets is then reversed to bring the upstream stapling location to the stapler. The movement of the pile of sheets is then again reversed to discharge the now stapled pile.
