  • Patent number: 5587869
Abstract: A high-voltage capacitor is not deteriorated by any of a laser medium gas, ultraviolet rays, and discharge plasma of a gas laser device. Inside a hermetic casing is stored a capacitor body having an electrode which is connected to an external terminal. The external terminal includes a passageway therein which makes the inside of the hermetic casing communicate with the outside of the hermetic casing. The external terminal is led to the outside of the hermetic casing from the capacitor electrode, and gas inside the hermetic casing is discharged through the passageway of the external terminal to achieve a reduced pressure. Thereafter, the inside of the hermetic casing is filled with an insulating protection material. With the hermetic casing being made of alumina and the electrode terminal plated with nickel, deterioration due to ultraviolet rays or discharge plasma generated by an electric discharge of the laser device is prevented, thereby not contaminating the ambient gas.

  • Patent number: 5173670
Abstract: A method of designing a .pi. type LC filter includes laminating dielectric layers on top and bottom sections of a magnetic material layer, forming a first external electrode and a second external electrode on each end of the laminated body, forming a third external electrode at a center section of the laminated body, forming an inductor by at least one conductor line within the magnetic material layer, connecting one end of the conductor line to the first external electrode and the other end thereof to the second external electrode, and forming a first capacitor composed of a parallel capacitor electrode within the top dielectric layer. One of the parallel capacitor electrodes is connected to the first external electrode and the other is connected to the third external electrode. Additionally, a second capacitor is formed composed of a pair of parallel capacitor electrodes within the bottom dielectric layer.

  • Patent number: 5051712
Abstract: A laminated chip-type LC filter for use as a noise filter is obtained by carrying out the following steps: dielectric layers are laminated on the top and bottom of a magnetic material layer, forming an inductor portion by providing conductive lines inside the magnetic material layer and forming capacitors by providing at least two layers of parallel internal electrodes inside both of the dielectric layers. External electrodes are provided at both ends of the inductor portion. Intermediate external electrodes are provided at both lateral sides in the middle part of the dielectric layers and the magnetic layer. The inductor portion is connected to the external electrodes. The internal electrodes are connected to the intermediate external electrodes and to the external electrodes, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5034709
Abstract: A unitary composite electronic component having both a filter function and a surge voltage absorption function is arranged to have a varistor laminated body laid on top of an inductor laminated body and a capacitor laminated body, or at least one of them, and is baked so as to be integral in order to construct a laminated body. The unbaked varistor laminated body is provided with varistor electrodes, and the unbaked inductor laminated body is provided with an inductor conductive line and the unbaked capacitor laminated body is provided with capacitor electrodes, respectively. The above-described laminated body is provided at the sides thereof with external electrodes for properly connecting the above-described varistor electrodes with the inductor conductive line and the capacitor electrodes to obtain a composite electronic component having both a filter function and a surge voltage absorption function.

  • Patent number: 4999595
Abstract: An LC filter comprises a ceramic laminate which has at least one dielectric part defining an exposed surface and at least one magnetic part integrated with the dielectric part in a layered manner. The ceramic laminate is provided with at least one through hole which has a first opening positioned on the exposed surface of the dielectric part and commonly passes through both of the dielectric part and the magnetic part. A connector pin is inserted in the through hole while a first electrode of a capacitor is formed on the exposed surface in a peripheral region of the first opening to be electrically connected with the connector pin. A second electrode of the capacitor is provided to be opposite to the first electrode through a dielectric member forming the dielectric part except for a peripheral region of the through hole, so that the second electrode is extracted toward the exterior of the ceramic laminate as a grounded electrode.
