Abstract: An image reading apparatus comprises, in a preferred embodiment, LEDs and image sensors for reading image and location information of an original, another LED and a photo sensor for generating a read start clock, memories for storing the image and location information read by the image sensors in one-to-one correspondence, a transparent sheet with matrix stripes placed on the original to provide the location information of each image information, and a CPU for controlling the operation sequence and detecting a ramp in the reading apparatus.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus is disclosed which comprises an image forming member for forming a plurality of images onto one sheet, a setting member for setting the number of sheets to be formed with images and a control member for controlling the image forming member in order to execute formation of the images for the number of sheets which can be loaded in a tray. The image forming member has the tray for temporarily loading the sheet on which a part of the images has been formed and further forms another part of the images onto the sheet loaded in the tray, when the number of sheets which is set by the setting member is larger than the number of sheets which can be loaded in the tray a plurality of the above operations are repeated.

Abstract: An original feeding apparatus for single or both side original copy has belts and rollers to carry an original to an exposure position a glass platen, motors for driving the belts and rollers, an electromagnetic brake and a drive control circuit to apply electromagnetic and electric brake forces on the motors, and a .mu.-COM to control the operation of the apparatus. The original can be stopped at the exposure position with high position, and both side original copy can be automatically performed without requiring the user to rearrange the originals after the copy operation.

The apparatus includes a photosensitive drum for forming an image thereon, pressure fixing rollers for fixing the transferred image on the transfer paper sheet, a detection switch for detecting the trailing edge of the transfer paper sheet, and timers T0 to T5 assigned in a RAM of a microcomputer .mu.COM of a control section. The timers function such that the conveyance of the transfer paper sheet for the next copying operation is prohibited until the current transfer paper sheet is completely fed out, thereby preventing an adverse effect of an impact by the pressure/fixing rollers.

Abstract: A cleaning device for a transferring system wet type electronic copying machine. A cleaning roller is juxtaposed with the photosensitive drum in such a manner that the roller is in contact with the drum so as to absorb developing solution containing toner left on the photosensitive drum. The developing solution containing toner absorbed by the cleaning roller is squeezed out by a cleaning device which depresses the cleaning roller and is then discharged by discharging means.
