The adapter device specifies to which input/output devices the plurality of input/output commands included in the one input/output start command correspond. Abstract: Data is compressed/encrypted for communication between application programs without addition of any modification to the application programs. In a communication system where a plurality of personal computers are connected to each other using communication lines, a personal computer is provided with a communication program and an application program, the application program uses a command offered by the communication program for transmission and reception of data with another personal computer, a hooking program for discriminating the command related to the data communication issued by the application program is provided and, after the hooking program has compressed or encrypted the data of application program depending on a type of the command, the command is transferred to the communication program.

Abstract: In a method of diagnosing deterioration of a paint film, a probe is applied to the surface of a paint film. A voltage having a predetermined waveform is applied by a preamplifier across the probe and a base metal on which the paint film is formed. A current flowing through the paint film is measured by the preamplifier. An analog signal indicative of a measured current value is converted to a corresponding digital signal by an analog-to-digital converter. A personal computer operates to analyze the digital signal in accordance with a predetermined analyzing procedure so that the degree of deterioration of the paint film is determined. The resultant determination is displayed on the display.
