    Abstract: There are provided a prepreg obtained by impregnating into a fiber reinforcement a resin composition including 40 to 70 parts by weight of an aromatic bismaleimide (A) expressed by a specific general formula, 60 to 30 parts by weight of an alkenylphenol (B) expressed by a specific general formula, 1 to 10% by weight of a polyetherimide (C) of a thermoplastic resin base on the total amount of components (A) and (B), and 15 to 50% by weight of an amorphous polyimide (D) having a glass transition temperature of 200° C. or higher, and a composite material obtained by heating and curing the prepreg. Also provided are the fiber-reinforced prepreg and the composite material without spoiling thermal resistance characteristic of the aromatic bismaleimide resin used as a main component of a resin and having excellent toughness imparted thereto.

    Abstract: It is possible to accurately detect a face center position based on an image of a person when the person is wearing glasses even when the person is facing sideways. Face images obtained as a result of photographing a face of a driver using a camera (10) are stored in an image memory (22). The CPU 24 determines positions of the sides and top and bottom positions of the face based on the face images stored in the image memory (22). Further, the CPU 24 determines whether or not the driver is wearing glasses or is facing sideways. When the wearing glasses and facing sideways is determined, a face center position is detected using face images for a lower region of the face. As a result, it is possible to detect a face center position in a reliable manner even when a driver wearing glasses is facing sideways.

An ultrasonic cutter having a cylindrical cutting blade is fed from the surface (114a) of the blade to a surface (110a) of a base material (100), and thus, a cylindrical incision is formed. After performing cutting to expand the incision outwardly, a rotating cutter (220) having a disc-shaped cutting blade (222) performs cutting inwardly from the cylindrical incision.     Abstract: The present invention provides a polysilane-supported transition metal catalysts or a polysilane/inorganic compound-supported transition metal catalysts, wherein various types of transition metals are supported by polysilane compounds, or combination of polysilanes and inorganic compounds. The catalysts of the present invention are hardly soluble in hydrocarbons and alcohols and are useful as catalysts in heterogeneous system for various organic synthetic reactions using the above solvents. Polysilanes supporting transition metals are easily crosslinkable by thermal treatment, microwave irradiation, UV irradiation or chemical methods such as hydrosilylation reaction and are changed to be insoluble in various solvents keeping high catalytic activity. Moreover, the stability and operability of polysilane-supported transition metal catalysts will be improved by the support thereof on inorganic compounds.

Even if the volume fraction of the reinforcing fiber is relatively low, a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin sheet and a molded plate that are excellent in terms of mechanical properties and their uniformity can be obtained.

    Abstract: Filter has a filter main body, a container, a first counter room, and a second counter room. A counter air is introduced into the first counter room through the counter air discharge valve, and fine particles trapped in the filter main body are removed and transported to the second counter room. Then, the removed fine particles are further transported to a process portion isolated from an exhaust gas passage, and the fine particles are fired in the process portion. Since the process portion is isolated from the exhaust gas passage, the fine particles in the process portion are not returned to the filter main body. Moreover, since the fine particles are transported by the counter air only to the second counter room, it is possible to reduce an amount of the counter air.
