  • Patent number: 8068150
Abstract: A memory access control apparatus includes a memory controller controlling a memory adopting a DDR format; a DDR-PHY adjusting the timing of an interface signal between the memory controller and the memory; a DDR-PHY controller controlling the DDR-PHY; and a clock controller controlling the frequency of a clock signal. A first request signal for controlling the operation of the memory in a self-refresh mode is supplied to the memory controller, a second request signal for resetting the DDR-PHY is supplied to the DDR-PHY controller, a third request signal for changing the clock frequency is supplied to the clock controller, a fourth request signal for setting a parameter for the DDR-PHY is supplied to the DDR-PHY controller, and a fifth request signal for canceling the operation of the memory in the self-refresh mode is supplied to the memory controller in order to change the clock frequency of the memory.

  • Patent number: 7769085
Abstract: The present invention provides an image data processing method of recording image data coded with the MPEG (Moving Picture Experts Group) technique to a recording medium. For transition of the bit occupancy in a VBV buffer to a target value, the initial value of a bit occupancy in a VBV buffer is calculated on the basis of auxiliary data read from a recording medium, a comparison is made between the target and initial values of the bit occupancy, and the number of bits for assignment to each GOP of to-be-coded image data correspondingly to the result of comparison.

  • Patent number: 7551840
Abstract: A video tape recorder for recording high definition television video signals onto a magnetic tape, and recording at least reproduction standard management information in the order of pictures of video data in a main sector, and in the order of pictures of compressed video data in a subcode sector. Search data is recorded on the basis of time management information of video data at the time of decoding, while display data is recorded on the basis of time management information on reproduction and output of video data.

  • Publication number: 20080226261
Abstract: Audio signals and video signals are recorded as follows. Three video PES packets, each being formed of one video frame, are combined to form a video editing unit. Then, the video editing unit and the associated audio editing unit are alternately disposed on a magnetic tape. The recorded PES packets are output as a TS as follows. A STC is initialized, and then, PSI packets of a PAT and a PMT are output. TS packets specially used for a PCR for storing the STC are then output at certain intervals. Subsequently, video PES packets are converted into TSs, and the output of the video TSs is started while synchronizing a time obtained by subtracting vbv_delay from the first I-picture DTS with the STC. Audio PES packets are converted into TSs, and the output of the audio TSs is started while synchronizing a time obtained by subtracting the start up delay from the first frame with the STC. Data streams are recorded in the following manner.

  • Patent number: 7421190
Abstract: The present invention is particularly applied to a video tape recorder for recording a video signal of an HDTV (high-definition television) on a magnetic tape. In the video tape recorder, the recording position of the head of each pack unit is set so as to have a predetermined relationship with the recording position determined by the corresponding time management information.

  • Patent number: 7362954
Abstract: When the head of a data pack that can be a start point of consecutive recording is included in an ECC (error correcting code) bank, data indicating this is set in an ECCTB (error correctly code two-B picture). When the head of a data pack that can be a start point of consecutive recording is not included in the ECC bank, data indicating this is set in the ECCTB. Thus, when performing consecutive recording, a recording apparatus refers to contents of the ECCTBs to detect a consecutive recording start, thereby allowing selection of the point closest to a point where a user desires to start consecutive recording, and the user starts the consecutive recording at the detected point.

  • Patent number: 7221850
Abstract: When MPEG streams are connected, audio data is connected without losing continuity, so that playback data which is not unnatural is obtained. In a case where data of videos of a stream is connected to immediately after another video of another stream and these are edited to create still another stream, if a soundless portion occurs, or if an audio is directly connected to another audio and the audio data leads the video data, unnatural playback data results. Therefore, by inserting still another audio, as audio data at the connection point of the still another stream, corresponding to the video to be erased between the still another audio and still another audio, playback data which is not unnatural can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 7027720
Abstract: A magnetic tape recording apparatus uses a rotary head to record digital data on a magnetic tape. The magnetic tape recording apparatus includes a first acquisition unit for acquiring a first group of data including video data, audio data, or search data, a second acquisition unit for acquiring a second group of data including subcode data related to the first group of data, a synthesizing unit for synthesizing data by combining the first group of data and the second group of data so that both groups of data are continuous on the tracks of the magnetic tape without being separated, and a supply unit for supplying the synthesized data to the rotary head so that the synthesized data is recorded on the magnetic tape.

  • Publication number: 20050232596
Abstract: An image data processing method is provided to process image data encoded with the MPEG technique and including data groups (Pack_V) each having an auxiliary recording area (AUX_V) provided therein, led by an I or P picture and including a B picture. In the case of a recording medium having appended thereto an insertion data group (EditPack_V_h) including a copy picture and/or stuffing byte laid before a data group to be spliced in a first splicing, a second splicing is done with the insertion data group being separated and removed. In this second splicing, unnecessary stuffing and copy picture are removed, to thereby prevent degradation of image quality.
