Patent number: 10882491Abstract: A lock device includes a locking member, a movable member, and a transmission mechanism. The locking member is moved between a lock position at which it locks a locking subject and an unlock position at which it unlocks the locking subject. The transmission mechanism transmits a drive force to the movable member and moves the movable member. A movement state of the movable member is shifted between a relative movement state in which it is moved relative to the locking member and an integral movement state in which it is moved together with the locking member to move the locking member toward the lock or unlock position. The lock device further includes a detector of which an output value varies in accordance with movement of the movable member or the transmission mechanism, and a controller that performs a failure determination based on a change in the output value.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2019Date of Patent: January 5, 2021Assignee: KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOKAI RIKA DENKI SEISAKUSHOInventors: Takuma Morishita, Koji Okuda, Takanori Matsuyama

Patent number: 10232820Abstract: A steering lock device includes a position detector that detects a position of a lock member. The position detector includes a first unlock detecting portion of a digital output type that detects that the lock member is located in an unlock position and a second unlock detecting portion of an analog output type that detects that the lock member is located in an intermediate position, which is between a lock position and the unlock position. A position determination portion determines whether or not the lock member is located in the unlock position based on a detection signal of the first unlock detecting portion and a detection signal of the second unlock detecting portion, which has a parabolic output waveform that changes in accordance with movement of the lock member.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 2017Date of Patent: March 19, 2019Assignee: KABUSHIKI KAISHA TOKAI RIKA DENKI SEISAKUSHOInventors: Koji Okuda, Masakazu Matsumoto, Takuma Morishita, Takanori Matsuyama, Naoki Sekine, Mineo Maekawa

Patent number: 7687188Abstract: A sealed cell having a safety mechanism is provided. The safety mechanism has a non-resealable valve structure formed in a sealing plate that seals the cell. The valve structure is broken as soon as the internal pressure reaches or exceeds a predetermined value so as to permit the internal gas to be released outside. The valve structure has at least one dome protruding toward the interior of the cell, which in turn has at the periphery thereof a break groove for facilitating the breakage of the valve structure. This makes the valve structure highly responsive to the internal pressure and causes to form a break-opened orifice of a sufficient area at the time of operation in response to the increased internal pressure. The valve structure is not unnecessarily broken by the impacts of, for example, dropping. As a result, the safety of the sealed cell is significantly improved.Type: GrantFiled: October 28, 2004Date of Patent: March 30, 2010Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hironori Marubayashi, Takuma Morishita, Satoshi Yoshida, Ryo Kashimura

Patent number: 7140380Abstract: A cell according to the present invention comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, an electrolyte solution, and an outer casing, wherein the outer casing comprises a valve plate 30 having a thickness, an annular-shaped break groove 4 formed on the valve plate, and one or more of break aiding grooves 1 in the inner area of the break groove, and wherein the break aiding groove comprises such configurations that remaining thickness of the valve plate at the break aiding groove is thicker than remaining thickness of the valve plate at the break groove, and at least one end of the break aiding groove is connected with the break groove. In a cell provided with a valve plate which is a safety valve 9 comprising the break groove and the break aiding groove, the safety valve operates smoothly and releases a gas inside the cell quickly, and resistance to dropping impact is improved.Type: GrantFiled: December 19, 2002Date of Patent: November 28, 2006Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hironori Marubayashi, Takuma Morishita, Yoshihiro Tobita, Shigeki Fujii

Patent number: 6571816Abstract: A cell safety valve which has a thin valve plate formed on a sheet-shaped sealing plate for sealing the cell such that if the inner pressure of the cell exceeds a predetermined value, the valve plate breaks to release a gas in the cell to the outside, in which the valve plate has a dome-shaped dome portion formed thereon and, at its middle or near it, a break groove formed for facilitating the breaking of the valve. By this construction, it is possible to prevent the electrolyte from leaking while reducing the cell-to-cell difference in the operating pressure of the safety valve and ensuring a sufficient open area at the time of the operations of the safety valve.Type: GrantFiled: March 7, 2001Date of Patent: June 3, 2003Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takuma Morishita, Hironori Marubayashi, Shigeki Fujii, Yosihiro Tobita

Patent number: 5976729Abstract: A cell has an outer can made from either aluminum or an aluminum alloy, and a lead plate for current-utilization. The lead plate for current-utilization is welded to the outer surface of the outer can and further welded to a lead plate for connection which is connected with the protective circuit of the cell. This construction makes it possible to avoid directly connecting the outer can with the lead plate for connection. Consequently, the lead plate for connection can be resistance-welded, so that the protective circuit is prevented form being electrified. As a result, the reliability of the protective circuit is improved, as compared with the case where the lead plate for connection is laser-welded.Type: GrantFiled: March 20, 1997Date of Patent: November 2, 1999Assignee: Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.Inventors: Takuma Morishita, Kazuro Moriwaki, Masatoshi Takahashi, Kensuke Nakatani
