Publication number: 20250041876Abstract: First measurement results are received from a characterization system in an ore processing plant. The first measurement results characterize a sample of mineral rotation feed. A first set of mineral characteristics of the sample of mineral rotation feed are determined based on the first measurement results. Respective similarities are determined between the first set of mineral characteristics and a plurality of predetermined sets of mineral characteristics that are each associated with one or more corresponding sets of rotation treatment parameters. A first set of rotation treatment parameters is selected based on the respective similarities. The first set of rotation treatment parameters is transmitted to a rotation processing system for separation of mineral components according to the first set of rotation treatment parameters.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 13, 2022Publication date: February 6, 2025Applicant: Cytec Industries Inc.Inventors: Rahul Bagwe, Tarun Bhambhani, Nicolas Renaud, Jean-Paul Garnier, Juan Antonio Garcia, Tristan Aillet

Patent number: 12030062Abstract: Methods and systems for the flotation recovery of value materials from sulfide mineral sources are disclosed. The flotation recovery of the value materials is performed in a fluidized bed flotation cell utilizing collector materials that include at least one hydrocarbyl group and at least one functional group including sulfur on the hydrocarbyl group, and the hydrocarbyl group includes 2 or more aliphatic carbons and 6 or more total carbons. The methods and systems of the present disclosure advantageously allow for improved recovery of coarse-sized particles, which reduces time and energy expending during sample grinding stages. The methods and systems of the present disclosure also do not exhibit the detrimental frothing behaviors which can be associated with long-chain collectors typically having 6 or more carbon atoms. The systems and methods can be incorporated into existing processing systems to treat samples before or after conventional processing stages.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2018Date of Patent: July 9, 2024Assignee: Cytec Industries Inc.Inventors: Joseph Jankolovits, Tarun Bhambhani, Devarayasamudram R. Nagaraj
