  • Patent number: 9170118
Abstract: A navigation system for an electric vehicle includes a telematics center, a display terminal, and a charging station. In response to a request from the display terminal, the telematics center sends a route search result, which is created based on information on an electric vehicle and the charging station and which includes base point information whose remaining battery capacity is to be confirmed, to the display terminal. The display terminal displays route guidance information, the current position, and a result of comparison between the current remaining battery capacity and the base point information to the user who is driving the electric vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20150100556
Abstract: When compressing an arrangement of fixed-length records in a columnar direction, a data compression device carries out data compression aligned with the performance of a data decompression device by computing a number of rows processed with one columnar compression from the performance on the decompression device side, such as the memory cache capacity of the decompression device or the capacity of a primary storage device which may be used by an application, and the size of one record. Thus, while improving compression ratios of large volumes of data, including an alignment of a plurality of fixed-length records, decompression performance is improved.

  • Patent number: 8832183
Abstract: In a client processing apparatus, each application program independently performs communication with a server processing apparatus in spite of relevance between the application programs. For example, when plural application programs issue a request at the same timing in correspondence with a user's operation, the operation speed of the application program may become low. A request which occurs at the same timing of a particular request outputted from an application program to the server processing apparatus is previously defined in a communication grouping table. When the application program actually outputs a request, the communication grouping table is referred to, then the request and a request in the table to occur at the same timing are transmitted at once to the server processing apparatus. The server processing apparatus processes the plural requests at once, and returns the result of processing to the client processing apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8713700
Abstract: When a user carries a mobile terminal with confidential information, such as customer information, stored therein, it is required to maintain information confidentiality and to prevent an unauthorized third party from accessing the confidential information even if the mobile terminal is stolen. According to the disclosed access control method, an encryption key is generated based on a planned route and the information is encrypted. When the user accesses the information, a decryption key is generated based on the actual movement route that is regularly acquired. The encrypted information can be decrypted if the planned route and the movement route match.

  • Patent number: 8649812
Abstract: A mobile terminal retains a communication device allocation priority table in which the allocation priorities of communication devices to respective applications are recorded for each of the communication devices mounted to the mobile terminal. The allocation priorities are determined from the combination of the types of an application and the operation state of the application. The mobile terminal allocates the communication devices to the applications in accordance with the priority orders recorded in the allocation priority table. The allocation priorities recorded in the communication device allocation priority table are varied in accordance with the operation states of the applications and the presence/absence of an alternate device.

  • Publication number: 20140038669
Abstract: In a system in which an in-vehicle apparatus and a smartphone are connected to each other, screen display switching cannot be performed with priorities of all the applications taken into account as respective terminals carry applications. A management block is provided in an in-vehicle apparatus or in a smartphone. The management block holds priority definitions for starting and displaying applications on both terminals. In response to external input to both terminals, the management block selects the application to be started and displayed. The management block identifies the terminal carrying the selected application, and transmits to the identified terminal a request to start the application and to switch display output accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20130261953
Abstract: An object of the present information is to search for a route taking into account the charging times in the charging stations. When an electric automobile provided with a battery cannot reach a second point from a first point without the battery being charged in a charging station halfway, a route-search processing section specifies one or two or more charging stations, which the electric automobile is to pass through in order to reach the second point from the first point in a shorter time including a charging time in each of the charging stations and moving times among the charging stations, and derives a route for reaching the second point from the first point passing through the specified charging stations.

  • Patent number: 8543319
Abstract: Communication equipment that received transfer data including data to be transferred, position information of a destination of the data to be transferred, position information of relay points used to determine a route to the destination, and position information of a last transferring vehicle determines a standby time that becomes shorter as a distance between the position of the last transferring vehicle and the position of a host vehicle becomes longer in the case where the host vehicle is not located in a predetermined range on the basis of the relay points. In addition, the communication equipment determines the standby time that becomes longer as a distance between the position of the host vehicle and the position of the relay point becomes longer in the case where the host vehicle is located in the predetermined range, and performs a process of transmitting the transfer data after the standby time passes.

  • Publication number: 20130238162
Abstract: A storage part stores beforehand, as an energy consumption graph, amounts of energy consumed by a vehicle traveling in both directions along road links on a map. A processing part traces a road link from a specified start point location peripherally, calculates, for each road node, a first and second integration values obtained by integrating amounts of energy in a direction moving away from the start point location on the energy consumption graph and in a direction moving toward the start point location on the energy consumption graph, and based on a relationship between the sum of the first integration value and the second integration value, and a given specified amount of energy for each road node, decides a round-trip driving range which is a range within which the vehicle is able to return to the start point location by using the specified amount of energy.

  • Patent number: 8289186
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for reducing the number of packets in a vehicle-to-vehicle multi-hop broadcast communication. The method determines a position data comprising a position, a velocity and a direction of a receiving vehicle (1, 2, 3, 4), receives a position data comprising position, velocity and direction from sending vehicles (1, 2, 3, 4), and calculates a relative position between the receiving vehicle (1, 2, 3, 4) and the sending vehicle (1, 2, 3, 4). Next, a density of vehicles is calculated from the calculated relative positions. The position data of the receiving vehicle (1, 2, 3, 4) is periodically sent, and the time for periodically sending the position data of the receiving vehicle (1, 2, 3, 4) is set in accordance with the calculated density of vehicles.
