  • Publication number: 20220095194
Abstract: A method of handling Radio Link Failures (RLF) in Wireless Relay Networks is described. The method includes detecting, by a first parent node, a potential RLF with another node based on receiving from a physical layer of the first parent node a notification of “out-of-sync” indication signals. The method further includes determining, by the first parent node, a message comprising an Upstream Potential RLF notification based on whether a set of one or more conditions is met. The method further includes transmitting, by the first parent node, the message comprising an Upstream Potential RLF notification to at least one of a child node and a second parent node. The method further includes establishing, by the second parent node, an RRC connection with the child node based on the transmitted Upstream Potential RLF notification.
