  • Publication number: 20200326049
Abstract: A light distribution control apparatus comprises an irradiating apparatus and an irradiation control apparatus. When a vehicle is travelling on an own lane, the irradiation control apparatus lightens a first region including a region right in front of the vehicle using the irradiating apparatus. When a request for lane change to a target lane occurs under a situation where the vehicle is travelling on the own lane, the irradiation control apparatus lightens a second region using the irradiating apparatus, the second region including a region-at-a-lane-change-side positioned at a target lane side with respect to the first region and a reduced region which is a region where the first region is reduced to a region near the vehicle as well as control the irradiating apparatus so that illuminance in the reduced region becomes less than or equal to illuminance in the reduced region before the request for lane change occurs.

  • Patent number: 10093222
Abstract: A vehicle lamp system includes a lamp unit and a lamp control unit. The lamp unit includes a plurality of LEDs and forms a high-beam light-distribution pattern. The lamp control unit controls the on/off of each of the plurality of LEDs. The lamp control unit controls each LED in the following manner. Specifically, the luminance is gradually lowered in a first period when the luminance is lowered to a level at which the LED remains on at reduced luminance. The luminance is gradually lowered in a second period, which is shorter than the first period, when the luminance is lowered to a level at which the LED is off.

  • Patent number: 9944220
Abstract: A vehicle headlight control device that controls a light distribution of headlight, includes: an obtaining section that obtains a distance from a driver's vehicle to a forward vehicle and the position of a forward vehicle; and a light distribution control section that changes the light distribution of the headlight based on the position of the forward vehicle, and set an illumination region, and a non-illumination region provided in a vicinity of the forward vehicle so as to include the forward vehicle and a margin distance from an end of a body of the forward vehicle. The light distribution control section determines a distance, in a vehicle width direction, between: a boundary between the illumination region and the non-illumination region; and each of left and right lateral ends of the forward vehicle, such that the greater the distance is, the less the distance in the vehicle width direction is.

  • Patent number: 9487123
Abstract: A vehicular headlamp apparatus includes: a headlamp that illuminates ahead of a vehicle; illumination range changing means for changing an illumination range of the headlamp; detecting means for detecting a position of a forward vehicle present in front of the vehicle; controlling means for controlling the illumination range changing means based on the position of the forward vehicle detected by the detecting means; and determining means for determining whether or not the position of the forward vehicle is within the illumination range. When the position of the forward vehicle is determined as being within the illumination range, the apparatus changes the illumination range so as to have the position of the forward vehicle fall outside the illumination range.

  • Patent number: 9193297
Abstract: A vehicle light distribution control device includes: an illumination device controlled to change a light distribution pattern among high, low and split beam patterns and of which an optical axis direction is controlled; and a control unit. When a vehicle ahead has been detected, the control unit changes the light distribution pattern to the split beam pattern, and controls a cut-off line position of the split beam pattern so as not to irradiate illumination light to the vehicle ahead. When the vehicle ahead becomes undetectable, the control unit maintains the split beam pattern while controlling the cut-off line position in such a manner that the shielded area of the split beam pattern gradually reduces. After the shielded area becomes smaller than or equal to a predetermined reference, the control unit changes the light distribution pattern from the split beam pattern to the high beam pattern.
