  • Patent number: 5855623
Abstract: Methods are provided for treating polyester, polyamide, acrylic, aramid or cellulosic substrates to improve the uniformity of dyeing and to improve the hydrophilic, soil-release, odor-, mildew-, bacterial- and fungal- resistant properties of these substrates.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 20, 1996
Date of Patent: January 5, 1999
    Assignee: Intera Technologies, Inc.
Inventors: Larry L. English, Ted A. Mallen
  • Patent number: 5540964
Abstract: A cast lining fabric is prepared from hydrophilic synthetic material. The cast lining transports moisture from the skin and environment beneath a cast to the outside environment where the moisture is removed by evaporation providing a dry atmosphere beneath the cast. The resulting dry environment reduces the ill effects of bacterial, fungal and mildew growth, reduces odor, increases dryness and comfort, and allows the wearer to bathe and swim.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 14, 1994
Date of Patent: July 30, 1996
    Assignee: Intera Technologies, Inc.
    Inventor: Ted A. Mallen
  • Patent number: 5288544
Abstract: The present invention is directed to operating fabric articles comprising a synthetic substrate which has been treated to render it absorbent to aqueous media and an anti-statically effective amount of a conductive fiber.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 28, 1991
Date of Patent: February 22, 1994
    Assignee: Intera Company, Ltd.
Inventors: Ted A. Mallen, Doyle B. Word
  • Patent number: 5078963
Abstract: High temperature internal combustion engine assembly components, exhaust assembly components and engine compartment components comprising a high temperature material and a method of preventing engine compartment fires.
    Type: Grant
