Abstract: A filter diaphragm for a filter plate assembly of a recessed plate-type filter, such as a filter press or a tower press. The diaphragm includes a sheet-like body having a flexible structure, and, at least on a side of the body, a plurality of distinct attachment studs to be inserted into corresponding distinct attachment holes of a respective filter plate for attaching the diaphragm to the filter plate. The attachment studs are arranged along a sealing region extending along a periphery of the filter diaphragm and extend in a direction perpendicular to the diaphragm body. The attachment studs are equipped with an opening extending through the filter diaphragm, between the opposing sides thereof. A diaphragm filter plate and -assembly, and filter are also concerned.

Abstract: An outlet cover with a first attachment pin fixed with respect to the outlet cover and having a radially extendable portion deformable upon by a radial force exerted from a hollow inside of the first attachment pin. The radially deformable portion prevents the first attachment pin from being withdrawn from an associated attachment hole, while allowing the first attachment pin to be compressed further into the associated attachment hole, thereby preventing a securing element from stripping any retaining surface, and thus increasing the longevity of the outlet cover. An associated filter plate, filter plate assembly and a filter are also concerned.

Abstract: A horizontal pressure filter including a washing liquid recovery channel for receiving unused washing liquid from the washing liquid inlet channel and conducting said unused washing liquid to a washing liquid recovery outlet. A flow controller arranged to selectively open and close a flow connection between the washing liquid inlet channel and the washing liquid recovery channel, and respectively, between a compressed gas inlet and the washing liquid inlet channel, such that a gas flow from the compressed gas inlet to the washing liquid recovery channel via the washing liquid inlet channel may be induced, so as to flush unused washing liquid remaining in the washing liquid inlet channel to the washing liquid recovery outlet.

Abstract: A filling shoe including a circular slurry opening extending between a filter plate side and a filter chamber side. A flange surrounds the slurry opening, and has an annular groove surrounding it and being arranged for receiving a filter medium. An outer edge of the body has a bevel towards the filter plate side on at least a part of the filling shoe. An outer edge of the flange is also provided with a bevel. Particularly, the filling shoe is formed as a single uniform piece of elastomer. A pin hole is provided so as to extend through the flange a position corresponding to the annular groove. A filling shoe arrangement, a filter medium assembly and a method for providing a filter medium with a filling shoe are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for air drying a filter cake contained in a filter chamber defined by a first filter plate, which comprises an air inlet for supplying drying air into the filter chamber to expel fluids from the filter cake, and a second filter plate, which comprises a fluid outlet for discharging fluids from the filter chamber. The method comprises throttling the air flow into the filter chamber by means of an orifice plate that acts as a flow resistance connected in series with the flow resistance of the filter chamber. Preferably the orifice of the orifice plate is so sized that, in case the flow resistance of the filter chamber falls below a normal level, choked flow is achieved in the orifice.
