    Abstract: A display device with a high aperture ratio is provided. The display device includes, in a pixel, a first transistor, a second transistor, a first insulating layer, a second insulating layer, a conductive layer, a pixel electrode, a layer containing a liquid crystal material, and a common electrode. The first insulating layer is positioned over a channel formation region of the first transistor. The conductive layer is positioned over the first insulating layer. The second insulating layer is positioned over the first transistor, the second transistor, the first insulating layer, and the conductive layer. The pixel electrode is positioned over the second insulating layer, the layer containing a liquid crystal material is positioned over the pixel electrode, and the common electrode is positioned over the layer containing a liquid crystal material. The common electrode overlaps with the conductive layer with the layer containing a liquid crystal material and the pixel electrode therebetween.

In the test method according to the present invention, a first solution in which a coloring matter is dissolved is dispensed to a first container in advance by a first dispensing probe, a second solution in which a coloring matter is not dissolved is dispensed to a second container in advance by the first dispensing probe and then the first solution and the second solution are respectively sucked and discharged by a second dispensing probe. After that, a surface state of the second dispensing probe is evaluated by acquiring an amount of the coloring matter collected by the second solution (see FIG. 2).

The layer containing a liquid crystal material scatters incident light with first scattering intensity when the electric field is in a first state, the layer containing a liquid crystal material scatters the incident light with second scattering intensity when the electric field is in a second state, which is higher than that in the first state, and the second scattering intensity is 10 or more times as high as the first scattering intensity.

This is accomplished by providing a masked section adjacent the valve seat so that the flow entering the combustion chamber is directed across the combustion chamber to generate the tumble action. There is also provided a secondary intake passage that delivers a charge to the combustion chamber in a substantially unrestricted fashion so as to permit high power outputs. The secondary intake passage has the flow through it controlled by a throttle valve that is closed under low and mid-range running conditions.

    Abstract: Several embodiments of induction systems for an internal combustion engine wherein each cylinder is served by a pair of intake passages having significantly different lengths for tuning them for different engine running requirements. A throttle valve arrangement controls the flow through the intake passages and the selection of the appropriate length for a given running condition. Each intake passage is supplied with air from a respective plenum chamber and the plenum chambers are located at different locations within the engine compartment. In all embodiments, one plenum chamber is positioned adjacent the engine and in the embodiments, the other plenum chamber is positioned either at the end of the engine or at the opposite side. Both plenum chambers are supplied with filtered air from a common air cleaner.
