  • Patent number: 9650972
Abstract: Provided is a control device for an internal combustion engine, which is capable of suppressing occurrence of knocking due to pre-ignition and occurrence of misfire even when an operating state in a previous cycle changes in a subsequent cycle. When a ratio of change in heat of air-fuel mixture, which is an index indicating how a heat of air-fuel mixture in the previous cycle changes in the subsequent cycle, does not fall within an allowable range, a variable valve control mechanism capable of changing a valve-closing timing of an exhaust valve for adjusting an internal EGR gas amount is controlled by using an optimum value of exhaust valve close (EVC) timing derived by correcting a set valve-closing timing of the exhaust valve so that the ratio of change in heat of air-fuel mixture falls within the allowable range.

The coupling projection provided on the other of the rotary shaft and the worm shaft is inserted in the coupling hole. A circumferential clearance and a radial clearance are formed between the inner surface of the coupling hole and the coupling projection. Circumferential buffer portions are interposed in the circumferential clearance, and radial buffer portions are interposed in the radial clearance. The inner surface of the coupling hole and the coupling projection are arranged such that the circumferential buffer portions are compressed to deform in the circumferential direction whereby to allow the buffer portions to be brought into contact with each other when the rotary shaft is rotating.

  • Publication number: 20080041468
Abstract: A coupler 10 comprises a socket S10 comprising a valve 16 and a metal helical spring 17 for energizing the valve in a closing direction and a plug comprising a valve 24 and a metal helical spring 25 for energizing the valve in a closing direction and being capable of being detachably fitted and coupled to the socket and being capable of opening the two valves to communicate the socket and the plug to each other in a fitted and coupled state. Elastic member holders 18 and 26 are mounted at an base end portion of the valves 16 and 25 in a sealable manner and in such a manner that the valves can reciprocate in closing and opening directions, said elastic member holders housing the energizing means for energizing the valves and flow paths being formed outside of the elastic member holders. By this arrangement, by housing the metal helical springs in the elastic member holders, contact between the metal helical springs and liquid can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 5615556
Abstract: A free-piston Vuilleumier heat pump in which displacers having a spring-operated resonance system, controls the heating energy and cooling energy outputs by controlling strokes of a hot displacer and a cold displacer. The control of the displacer strokes is performed by controlling the working gas temperature in a hot working space. Furthermore, the control of the displacer strokes may be performed by controlling a motor output while keeping the operation frequency of the motor mounted for at least one of the hot displacer and the cold displacer, in the vicinity of a resonance frequency which is determined by the driving system of the hot displacer and the cold displacer.
