Publication number: 20230080726Abstract: An ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus according to an embodiment includes a transmission unit, a reception unit, a generator, and a display controller. The transmission unit causes an ultrasonic probe to transmit a displacement-producing ultrasonic wave and causes the probe to transmit a displacement-observing ultrasonic wave. The reception unit generates reflected-wave data based on a reflected wave received by the probe. The generator calculates displacement at each of a plurality of positions in the scan area over a plurality of time phases, based on the reflected-wave data, determines a time phase when the calculated displacement is substantially maximum, for each of the positions, and generates image data representing positions where the determined time phases are substantially the same as each other, among the positions. The display controller superimposes an image based on the image data on a medical image corresponding to an area including the scan area.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 22, 2022Publication date: March 16, 2023Applicant: CANON MEDICAL SYSTEMS CORPORATIONInventors: Masaki WATANABE, Yuko KANAYAMA, Tetsuya KAWAGISHI, Yoshimi MUTO, Eiji GOTO, Koichiro KURITA, Shogo FUKUDA

Patent number: 11556570Abstract: A computer-implemented method for extracting semantic relations is disclosed. In the method, a plurality of hierarchal structures that originates from a corpus of documents is obtained. Each hierarchal structure includes a plurality of elements having respective recitations included in a corresponding document. In the method, for each predetermined relationship between ancestor and descendant elements in the hierarchal structures, a first keyword list is extracted from the ancestor element and a second keyword list is extracted from the descendant element. A statistical index is calculated for each pair of first and second keywords using the first keyword lists and the second keyword lists. The index indicates a strength of association between the first and second keywords. In the method, a candidate list of keyword pairs having semantic relationships is output using the statistical index calculated for each pair.Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2018Date of Patent: January 17, 2023Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Shoko Suzuki, Tetsuya Nasukawa, Hiroshi Kanayama

Patent number: 11007411Abstract: Provided is a method for manufacturing an iron golf club head by forging a single round rod member with a pair of dies to form, as a single piece, a body and a neck into which a shaft is to be inserted. The method includes: a first step of heating the single round rod member into a heated material; a second step of placing the heated material in the pair of dies; and a third step of forging the heated material placed in the pair of dies. In the third step, the heated material is prevented from flowing out from parting surfaces of the respective dies at a sole side of the body in the pair of dies, and the heated material blocked at the sole side in the pair of dies flows toward each of a toe of the body and the neck in the pair of dies.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2020Date of Patent: May 18, 2021Assignees: Mizuno Corporation, Chuo Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Kazuhiro Doi, Tetsuya Kanayama, Jun Yoshikawa

Patent number: 9333399Abstract: An adjustable golf club is disclosed. The club can be adjusted by moving one or more sliders located proximate the heel of the club. The sliders can move to enable the loft and lie of the club to be adjusted independently. To adjust the club, a user can loosen a fastener, reposition the sliders, and re-tighten the fastener. The one or more sliders can slide against a spherical surface with its origin at the center of rotation of the shaft. In this configuration, when the sliders are pressed against the spherical surface, the spherical surface can enable the club to remain properly adjusted.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 2013Date of Patent: May 10, 2016Assignee: Mizuno USA, Inc.Inventors: David Llewellyn, Tetsuya Kanayama
