  • Patent number: 8159558
Abstract: According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided an image processing device that performs brightness conversion processing according to a brightness conversion coefficient on each pixel of an input image and produces an output image. The image processing device includes a division section dividing the region of the input image into a plurality of areas and a histogram calculation section calculating a histogram for each area. Here, the brightness conversion coefficient is determined based on the result of calculation by the histogram calculation section. With this configuration, it is possible to obtain, even when there is a portion of an image having a brightness level (or a brightness range) of low frequency in terms of an entire image, satisfactory contrast for the entire image including such a portion.

  • Publication number: 20070271406
Abstract: An image processing device includes a high-speed bus and a peripheral bus linked via a bus bridge, and connected to the buses are a CPU for carrying out computations and control of image processing, a data transceiving FIFO memory for carrying out transceiving of image compression data with a host device, a frame memory for storing image expansion data from an electronic camera and the like and displaying the data on a display panel, and a compression/expansion circuit for carrying out compression of image expansion data and expansion of image compression data. The CPU and the frame memory are connected to the high-speed bus and the data transceiving FIFO memory is connected to the peripheral bus. The arrangement of the image processing device makes the CPU operate more efficiently to achieve overall increased speed in image processing.

  • Patent number: 6292035
Abstract: In a signal transmission device, when the switching transistors constituting its output stage are turned on or off, those transistors into which a current has thus far been flowing from the primary coil of a transformer are turned from on to off with a delay with respect to a time point when the other transistors are turned on or off. This reduces transient variations in the current flowing through the primary coil that occur when the switching transistors are turned on or off, and thereby reduces the back electromotive forces induced by the inductance of the coil, thus reducing the overshoots and undershoots occurring across the secondary coil.

  • Patent number: 5589429
Abstract: An aluminum nitride sintered body comprising aluminum nitride as a main component, a titanium compound, and an yttrium compound, wherein when the content of titanium and the content of yttrium both in terms of percentage by weight based on the aluminum nitride sintered body are plotted on an x-y coordinate system, with the titanium content as the x axis and the yttrium content as the y axis, the titanium content and the yttrium content each is within a region surrounded by the lines connecting points A and B, B and C, C and D, D and E, and E and A, inclusive of the lines the points A, B, C, D and E being:A (0.2, 2.0)B (0.2, 6.5)C (1.0, 10.25)D (2.2, 10.25)E (2.2, 5.0).
