    Abstract: Methods, systems, and machine-readable media are disclosed for providing marketing messages to a mobile device. According to one embodiment, a method of providing one or more marketing messages to a mobile device in a mobile commerce system can comprise receiving at a mobile wallet server a set of information from an acquirer system. The set of information can identify one or more marketing offers. One or more marketing messages can be generated by the mobile wallet server based on the set of information identifying the one or more marketing offers. For example, the marketing messages can comprise Short Message Service (SMS) messages, email messages, or other types of messages. Each of the one or more marketing messages can be sent from the mobile wallet server to one or more mobile devices.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and machine-readable media are disclosed for handling payment transactions in a mobile commerce system. According to one embodiment, a method of processing a payment transaction in a mobile commerce system can comprise receiving at a first acquirer system a communication from a point-of-sale (POS) device. The communication can be related to the payment transaction and can include information identifying a financial account from which a payment is requested. A second acquirer for authorizing the payment can be identified based on the information identifying the financial account. The communication can be sent to the second acquirer system for authorization of the transaction based on the information related to the financial account. An indication of whether the transaction is authorized can be received from the second acquirer system.

    Abstract: A contactless electronic wallet is disclosed. The contactless electronic wallet may include a communications interface adapted to receive financial account information from a computer. The contactless electronic wallet may also include a memory device adapted to electronically store financial account information for at least one financial account. The contactless electronic wallet may further include a user interface adapted to communicate an account list to a user comprising at least one financial account associated with financial account information stored in the memory device, wherein the user selects a first financial account from the account list. The contactless electronic wallet may include a RF antenna that communicates account information associated with the first account to a radio frequency-enabled communication device. And, the contactless electronic wallet may include a processor coupled with the communications interface, the memory device, the user interface, and the RF antenna.

    Abstract: System and methods for facilitating the settlement of financial accounts across different entities utilize a host computer system that tracks financial transactions made at each merchant location or store and uses this information to reconcile accounts across different entities. In one embodiment, for redemption transactions that occurred within one of the entities other than where the associated account was activated, the host computer system is configured to prepare a request to transfer a redemption amount to a central account from an entity account associated with where the redemption transaction occurred, and to prepare a request to transfer less than the redemption amount from the central account to an entity account associated with where the account was activated.
