    Abstract: The invention is related to a candle holder for various candle diameters, whereby the candle (4) is clamped between at least two clamping surfaces to clamping edges (1, 2, 3; 1a, 2a, 3a, 4a; 1b, 2b, 3b, 4b) which are movable in respect to each other and are in general moved towards each other by means of a spring. In case of the known candle holders the candle is extinguished when the melting zone of the burning candle approaches or reaches the clamping surfaces.     Abstract: The invention relates to a quick switching hydraulic valve (7, 8) which opens or can be kept closed using an electric signal of low energy and which can switch very quickly with large passage. Regarding the known valves the switching valve according to the invention has the advantage that a tight embodiment with a very simple construction is possible and that spontaneous opening or spontaneous closing cannot occur in actual circumstances. Additionally the switching as regards timing is less critical and leakage via the controlling auxiliary valves (1, 2) or via internal leakage connections does not occur.

    Abstract: An hydraulic switching valve (35) comprises, among other parts, a valve housing (45, 62) with a first connection (33, 36) and a second connection (34, 67) and a valve body (37, 63) which is movable in the valve housing (45). The switching valve (35) is open when the pressure at the first connection (33) is higher than the pressure at the second connection (34) as a result of the fact that the pressure difference caused by the movement of the valve body (37) allows a flow past the valve body (37). The switching valve is closed when the pressure at the first connection (33) is lower than the pressure at the second connection (34) as a result of the fact that the movement of the valve body (37) caused by the pressure difference closes a valve seal (40) which blocks the flow. The switching valve (35) further comprises a lock (39) with switching element (42) for selectively keeping the valve seal (40) closed, and unblocking the valve body (37), respectively.

    Abstract: A matrix printer comprising a printing head which can be moved to and from along a record carrier in a direction parallel to a printing line direction. The printing head is provided with straight recording pins which are arranged to be mutually parallel at equal distances from each other. The printing ends of the recording pins are situated in one line parallel to the printing line direction. Between the printing head and the record carrier an ink ribbon is arranged which is intermittently displaced, together with the record carrier, in a direction transverse to the movement direction of the printing head. The ink ribbon wear and reduction of the coloring agent are thus spread over the full width of the ink ribbon.
