Abstract: A semiconductor device, able to be selectively configured to perform one or more user defined logic functions, includes a semiconductor die and a selectable power regulator. The semiconductor die, in one aspect, includes a first region and a second region. The first region is operatable to perform a first set of logic functions based on a first power domain having a first voltage. The second region is configured to perform a second set of logic functions based on a second power domain having a second voltage. The selectable power regulator, in one embodiment, provides the second voltage for facilitating the second power domain in the second region of the semiconductor die in response to at least one enabling input from the first region of the semiconductor die.

  • Patent number: 10941102
Abstract: Non-water soluble cannabinoid acids are isolated from trichomes and flower of Cannabis genus by leaching with alkaline water. The leaching with alkaline water converts the cannabinoid acids to water soluble salts. The resulting solution of cannabinoid salts may be used as a source of acidic cannabinoids for pharmaceutical applications or the cannabinoid acid salts may be converted back to their acid form and precipitated into a high purity microcrystalline powder by acidification of the aqueous solution. Compounds that are not water soluble and do not form salts in alkaline water such as many pesticides, fungicides and off flavors will not be concentrated.

  • Patent number: 9935478
Abstract: A power delivery rate from a renewable power source to a load is managed by determining, by processing circuitry, a change in a power generation rate, determining, by the processing circuitry, whether the change in the power generation rate exceeds a limit, and then, adjusting, by control circuitry, a power transfer rate to or from a power storage device, such that the adjusting is sufficient to prevent the power delivery rate from exceeding the limit.

  • Patent number: 9757501
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for applying negative pressure to tissues of a patient that are transmitted to the vertebral venous system of the patient and thereby lowering intracranial pressure. Intracranial pressure is thus lowered easily without increasing the work of breathing, without needing to be intubated, and without breathing through a valve in patients with elevated increased intracranial pressure.

  • Patent number: 9368968
Abstract: A control system for an energy storage device is coupled to sensors on an electrical grid. The control system is configured to receive a measurement from each of the sensors. The control system determines, based on the received measurements, whether a grid event is a local event or a distributed event. The control system selects a response mode for controlling the energy storage device based on whether the grid event is determined to be a local event or a distributed event.

  • Patent number: 9105294
Abstract: Composite magnetic recording media are described. A composite structure is a structure that is formed of multiple components. For example, a composite magnetic recording medium may include a substrate, an underlayer formed over the substrate, the underlayer defining a coating surface, and a magnetic layer formed over the coating surface of the underlayer. Composite magnetic recording media constructed according to the materials and techniques disclosed may provide dimensional flexibility while exhibiting improved physical or electromagnetic characteristics. In some examples, dimensional flexibility may be achieved by pairing a substrate greater than or equal to approximately 4000 nanometers thick with an underlayer less than or equal to approximately 890 nanometers thick.
