  • Patent number: 10605504
Abstract: A ducted separator in a compressor-based cooling assembly is connected to an oil/gas outlet of the compressor. The ducted separator is a pipe with at least one bend in it which collects oil in a manner which can achieve 98% oil carry over efficiency. The ducted separator may optionally be connected to a second phase separator such as a centrifugal cylinder. In that case, the height of the centrifugal cylinder can be significantly reduced compared with conventional arrangements. Alternatively, a simpler impingement surface such as one or more baffles may be used as the second phase separator or just a collection chamber.

  • Publication number: 20200085554
Abstract: The invention relates to an oral care device for teeth whitening or other purpose. The device is designed to provide a uniform light intensity distribution at the teeth by use of a light mixing chamber of a mouthpiece comprised by the oral care device. The mouthpiece comprises a sealing structure with rims designed to connect to the gums of a user. At least apart of the rim and a closure of the mouthpiece surrounded by the rim are reflective. When light is emitted into the mouthpiece, the light will be reflected by the reflective rim, the reflective closure and the buccal side of the teeth. Accordingly, the light will be reflected multiple times, which makes the intensity distribution more uniform. Additionally, the mouthpiece may comprise light redirection structures arranged to redirect light rays from light injected into the mouthpiece.

  • Publication number: 20200008915
Abstract: The invention relates to a mouthpiece (100) for illumination of teeth, e.g. for teeth whitening. The mouthpiece comprises a slab shaped light guide (203), at least one light source arranged for injecting light into the light guide and an optically transparent element (101) arranged to contact the light guide. The optically transparent element has a lower refractive index than the light guide to enable total internal refection of the injected light. Light is coupled out of the light guide by an out-coupling structure (210) and through a part of the optically transparent part located between the light guide and the buccal side of the teeth to illuminated the teeth with uniform light.

  • Patent number: 10524933
Abstract: An apparatus and method for measuring a version angle of a restored neck of a femur during a hip replacement procedure. The apparatus includes a broach. The broach has a distal end that is insertable into a medullary canal of the neck of the femur. The broach also has a proximal end that extends along a neck axis of the broach. The apparatus also includes a protractor. The protractor includes a rod which is attachable to the proximal end of the broach to extend away from the neck axis of the broach for measuring the version angle of the restored neck of the femur relative to a vertical direction. The method includes inserting the broach, flexing the knee at approximately ninety degrees, orienting the tibia vertically, attaching the protractor to the proximal end of the broach and using it to measure the version angle.
