    Abstract: A method for receiving a caller identification (ID) number on an electronic device in a communication network (100) is provided. The communication network includes a plurality of electronic devices (104 and 106) and a plurality of network elements (102). The method includes receiving a signal from a first electronic device. The first electronic device has a primary caller ID number and at least one alternate caller ID number. The method also includes sending the alternate caller ID number to a second electronic device, based on the signal received from the first electronic device.

    Abstract: A method for monitoring motion of an entity within a predetermined boundary established using a location detection technology. Sensor data is acquired from a motion sensor that senses non-positional movement of the entity and is attachable to the entity. A learned movement pattern associated with the entity is accessed. Computing techniques are used to analyze the acquired sensor data in relationship to the learned movement pattern. A current movement pattern is identified based on the analysis. It is determined whether the current movement pattern is a reportable movement pattern, and if so, a predetermined action is performed.

    Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for providing call-control features based on information about the programming events. The call-control features are provided to control, handle, or otherwise manage incoming telephone calls. The programming events may be television programming events such as broadcast, pay-per-view, or video-on-demand shows, movies, or the like. A computerized set top box (STB) may be used to output the programming events for display on a television or any other suitable display device. The STB is operable to receive notices of incoming telephone calls and manage such calls with call-control features that are associated with the programming events output by the STB based on information, such as content or metadata about, such programming events.
