  • Patent number: 7527428
Abstract: A two step platform elevates a standing patient upon a horizontally located chamber for examination of the foot and ankle by radiological methods. The chamber receives a slide that carries an x-ray film beneath a foot of a standing patient. Additionally, the patient stands upon a visually and radiologicaly transparent deck. The deck has one slot for upright positioning and a chamber for horizontal positioning of a radiological film cartridge. The platform of the present invention allows a radiologist to take a radiological image of a patient's foot and ankle from both the side and above.

  • Patent number: 5222345
Abstract: An overlay structure for protecting and covering of existing interior and exterior frame works such as windows and doors having a plurality of frame members including the sill of window frame members. The overlay structure includes a flexible elongated laminar member having an outer facing layer and an inner facing layer. The outer facing layer is provided with a generally planar outer surface and the inner facing layer is corrugated to provide a plurality of elongated parallel grooves and ridges. The corrugated inner facing layer operates to provide the overlay structure with elongated structural flexibility so as to be easily and readily bent and cut to conform to the structural configuration of a window frame member to be covered. Suitable fastening means for fastening the overlay structure to an existing frame member can, for example, be nails, screws, staples, adhesives and glue of combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 4804142
Abstract: A pest repellent article for dispensing a repellent composition to a receptacle or area to be protected is disclosed. The pest repellent article comprises an outer cover and an inner porous removable pest repellent composition carrier member. The repellent composition carrier is formed of a compact absorbent structure and is impregnated with a volatile pest repellent composition. The outer cover or envelope completely encloses the repellent composition carrier member and is formed of a flexible, puncturable, tearable material substantially impermeable to the repellent composition and the vapors thereof. The outer cover is releasably sealed about the inner porous pest repellent composition carrier member and can be opened to remove the inner porous repellent composition carrier member. The inner porous pest repellent composition carrier member is releasably sealed whereby the composition carrier member can be opened to release the volatile repellent composition carrier.

  • Patent number: 4518623
Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed for coating substrates with a film polymer based on p-xylylene by vapor-phase polymerization. The apparatus monitors the monomer vapor pressure after pyrolization of the cyclic di-p-xylylene dimer, compares the measured pressure to a predetermined pressure needed to effect a completed vapor-phase polymerization reaction, and adjusts the temperature of vaporization in response to variations between measured pressure and the predetermined pressure.

  • Patent number: 4495889
Abstract: Method and apparatus are disclosed for coating substrates with a film polymer based on p-xylylene by vapor-shaped polymerization.

  • Patent number: 4401053
Abstract: A coating fixture for holding and masking workpieces during a parylene batch coating process. A rigid frame and two face plates form an enclosure. The face plates have a plurality of holes, and the workpieces are located within the enclosure, so that they are aligned with the holes. In preferred embodiments, a separator plate located within the enclosure divides it into two article-receiving compartments, and gaskets are provided for sealably engaging the face plates to the frame and to the workpieces in each compartment. Vaporous coating material enters the face plate holes and coats only portions of the workpieces.
