    Abstract: A transmission includes a main section substantially enclosed by a main case and an auxiliary section substantially enclosed by an auxiliary case. An intermediate plate is removably secured to the main case and to the auxiliary case. The intermediate plate includes bearings for supporting the main shaft and countershafts. The main section and auxiliary sections can each be accessed and serviced without disturbing the other.
