  • Patent number: 11936415
Abstract: An air interface plane (AIP) of a radio frequency (RF) aperture includes: a circuit board having a first side and a second side opposite the first side; and a matrix of tapered elements arranged on the first side of the circuit board and secured to the circuit board, the matrix of tapered elements cooperating to at least one of receive or transmit an over-the-air RF signal. Suitably, each tapered element of the matrix has: a central hub extending along a longitudinal axis from a hub base which is proximate to the first side of the circuit board to an apex of the tapered element which is distal from the first side of the first circuit board; and a plurality of arms extending from the central hub at the apex of the tapered element, each of the plurality of arms including a first portion that projects the arm radially away from the longitudinal axis and a second portion that projects the arm longitudinally toward the first side of the circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20090307235
Abstract: Method and apparatus for providing disaster recovery with respect to a production mainframe having an operating system encoded in Extended Binary Coded Decimal Instruction Code (EBCDIC). The method includes copying said operating system from a direct access storage device (DASD) of said production mainframe to a file, compressing said file, transferring said file to a remote computer by binary File Transfer Protocol, and storing said file proximate said remote computer.

  • Publication number: 20070271302
Abstract: Various data copy systems and methods for use in a disaster recovery network architecture including first, second and third computers and various datalinks coupling the first, second and third computers together. One embodiment of such a method includes: (1) transferring the data from the first computer to the second computer, (2) transferring the data from the second computer to the third computer only after the transferring the data from the first computer to the second computer is complete and (3) deleting the data from the second computer only after the transferring the data from the second computer to the third computer is complete.

  • Patent number: 5187343
Abstract: A purge block with non-inflatable, disc-like seals removably mounted on either end of an elongate tube. In one embodiment, the tube is rigid and hollow and forms part of a conduit for argon or other inert gas through one of said seals to a set of discharge ports adjacent the near end of the other seal. A vent tube extends separately through the first seal. In a second embodiment, the elongate tube is semi-rigid, and a passageway is provided through each seal to discharge ports located adjacent the inner end of each seal to permit gas to flow outside the tube from the inlet end seal of the purge block to and through the outlet end seal.

  • Patent number: 4266334
Abstract: The front surface of a semiconductor wafer and the peripheral edge of the back surface of the wafer are protected by either coating them or by placing the wafer in a special fixture. The so protected wafer is then placed in a chemical bath and thinned to the desired thickness over the entire center region of the back surface. Then a sheet of glass which fits into the thin region within the unthinned rim on the back surface is glued to the back surface to provide a laminated structure. Next, the individual imager devices are separated from one another by cutting through the glass and thinned substrate along lines between the devices.

  • Patent number: 4232245
Abstract: A target for vidicons and image intensifier tubes include a potential barrier less than about 1500 A from an input signal sensing surface. The targets also include various passivation means for stabilizing the energy level configuration along the input signal sensing surface by substantially fixing the valence or conduction band along that surface relative to the Fermi level.
