  • Publication number: 20070135577
Abstract: A plurality of crosslinked acrylate microspheres and a curable fluoroelastomer are combined to form a elastomeric blend of both materials. The microspheres are the reaction product of at least one acrylate monomer and at least one multifunctional crosslinking agent. The microspheres are crosslinked prior to being admixed with the curable fluoroelastomeric resin or gum. The combination is very beneficial to forming a final cured composition due to the elimination of the need to balance cure chemistries with the curing process kinetics.
