  • Patent number: 11658489
Abstract: A method for managing an energy generation system is disclosed. The system includes a cluster of power generators connected by a connectivity network. Each power generator includes an inverter having a respective controller, and at least a data set available to the controller for controlling the respective power generator. Each inverter transmits through said connectivity network, to the other inverters of the cluster, information concerning said data set available to it, said information being sufficient to check whether the data sets available to each inverter are aligned. Each inverter receives, through said connectivity network, information concerning the data set available to other inverters of the cluster and checks whether the data set available to it is aligned with the data sets available to the other inverters of the cluster.

Inventors: Andrea Botarelli, Luigi Lamoglie, Tiberio Bucci, Alessandro Faggiani, Cosimo Falaschi
  • Patent number: 10892623
Abstract: A method for detecting an islanding condition of a grid connected energy conversion system and related DC/AC converter apparatus to optimize performance in terms of preservation of the power quality, provide synchronized frequency perturbation for all the inverters of a plant, provide shut down capability within the time requested by utilities and safety standards and provide immunity to grid frequency fluctuations.

  • Publication number: 20200358311
Abstract: A method for regulating power export from an energy generation system to a utility grid is disclosed. The energy generation system includes a plurality of power generators. The method comprises a step of monitoring an actual power exported from the system to the utility grid. The method further includes a step of providing to each power generator a feedback signal, containing information on the power exported by the system to the utility grid. At each power generator a respective regulator provides a regulation signal for the relevant power generator. The regulator can be embedded in the inverter of the respective power generator.
