    Abstract: A method for developing traffic messages for broadcast is disclosed. Data indicating a plurality of traffic conditions on a road network are obtained. For each of the traffic conditions, the data provides a start location at which the traffic condition begins and an end location at which the traffic condition ends. For each of the traffic conditions, a road length from the start location to the end location is determined. The traffic conditions are assigned a priority based upon the road lengths. The data indicating the traffic conditions are transmitted in the assigned priority as a plurality of traffic messages.

Locations reference codes along the road having related traffic speeds are grouped into at least one congestion event along the road. The congestion events are transmitted as traffic messages.

    Abstract: A system and method for securely delivering the location information of a mobile device to a location consumer is presented. In operation, the mobile device user issues a license to a location consumer. The license identifies the location consumer and any conditions the mobile device user places on the license. The license is encrypted such that it cannot be modified without invalidating the license. The license is submitted in a location request by the location consumer. A location information server receives the request, validates that the license was issued to the location consumer and that the location request conforms to the conditions of the license. If so, the location information server obtains the mobile device's location information, generates a location response, encrypts some of the location response, and returns the location response to the location consumer.

Finally, an improved method and apparatus designed to provide a means for priming and air purging the product contact path of liquid filling machinery, a fill volume calibration procedure, and a fill weight verification cycle is also herein described.

    Abstract: An improved process and configuration for multi-function in-case filling and capping. A multi-lane embodiment is provided in which cases of empty containers are received from one or more upstream conveyor loading processes. Each case's major and minor flaps are opened, and each case is directed to flap control rails for maintaining the flaps in an open position throughout the filling and capping process. Each open case is inspected to confirm that the containers are present and are properly oriented within each case, while any improperly loaded cases are rejected from the system. The cases are then diverted into the least backlogged of a series of processing lanes, where the individual containers are filled. Screw thread caps or other closures are then applied to the containers, and the cases of filled containers converge back together in a single discharge lane.

    Abstract: A steerable catheter includes a handle, an elongated catheter body, a steering tube formed by an elongated coiled spring, the steering tube having a distal end that terminates short of the distal end of the catheter, and a steering spring having a bendable portion extending outside the distal end of the steering tube for bending the distal end of the catheter in response to an applied force exerted by one or more steering wires. A controller is positioned on the handle and attached to the steering wire, for applying tension. At least one and preferably two sleeves of polymeric material are heat shrunk around a part, but not all of the length of the distal portion of the catheter which extends distally from the elongated coiled spring. The bending characteristics of the catheter are modified by the length, and thickness of the sleeves as well as the physical characteristics of the polymer used. The preferred polymeric material is a polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate.
