Abstract: In operating an inverter including input connectors, (i) to which strings of photovoltaic cells are connected, (ii) each of which is connected via a DC/DC converter to a common DC voltage link, and (iii) which are bridgeable, the partial powers flowing through the individual DC/DC converters are determined, and for some time at least two DC/DC converters are either operated with the aim of balancing the partial currents flowing through them or connected through. During this operation or connecting through, the partial powers flowing through the at least two DC/DC converters are compared with each other, and if a difference between the partial powers exceeds a threshold value, the DC/DC converters are subsequently operated in a way adjusted to the fact that they connect different strings to the DC voltage link.

  • Publication number: 20140233263
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a tracking method for a voltage transformer, in particular an inverter, of a photovoltaic system. In the method, an intermediate circuit voltage is repeatedly decreased or increased in one direction to a lower or higher voltage by voltage steps of a specified magnitude. The method is characterized in that an average rate of change of the intermediate circuit voltage in a partial time period between two voltage steps is limited by a maximum average rate of change, the maximum average rate of change being defined according to the magnitude of the intermediate circuit voltage. The disclosure further relates to a tracking device designed to perform the tracking method and to an inverter equipped with the tracking device.

  • Patent number: 8514423
Abstract: A device for imaging a flat object, for example a paper sheet in a printing machine, includes a light source, preferably an LED row, a lens and an image sensor. An observation angle between the object plane and lens axis is flat, that is to say less than 45°. The light source illuminates the flat object in a first, near region with light of a first wavelength and illuminates the flat object in a second, far region with light of a second wavelength. The first wavelength is shorter than the second wavelength, preferably being blue and red spectral regions. The first region is disposed nearer the image sensor than the second region. The device permits the so-called chromatic aberration of the lens to be utilized to advantageously reduce the tilt angle of the image sensor required by the so-called Scheimpflug condition. A printing machine having the device is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8328429
Abstract: A radial anti-friction bearing, which has an outer and inner bearing race with an inner and outer raceway and cylinder rollers that roll on the raceways between the bearing races and which are held at equal distances to each other in the peripheral direction by a bearing cage. To prevent slip, the cylinder rollers are replaced by hollow rollers, which have a larger outside diameter and lower modulus of elasticity. The dimensions of the bearing races, cylinder rollers and hollow rollers are configured such that both the cylinder and hollow rollers initially have a defined radial bearing clearance in the non-installed state of the radial anti-friction bearing, and the pretension necessary for the continuous drive of the bearing cage is adjusted on the hollow rollers only once the radial anti-friction bearing has been installed, while simultaneously reducing the radial bearing clearance at the cylinder rollers.

  • Publication number: 20120181114
Abstract: The invention pertains to a lubricant distributor for distributing lubricant to several lubricating points, with a cavity, in which a piston is arranged in a sealed and movable fashion. Several lubricant outlets, which are sealed relative to the cavity by the piston, lead into the cavity. The distributor has a lubricant inlet, from which at least one inlet channel leads into the cavity. A drive unit is provided for moving the piston in the cavity in a defined fashion. At least one channel is formed in the piston and makes it possible to produce a fluidic connection between the at least one inlet channel and one of the lubricant outlets depending on the position of the piston within the cavity. The invention furthermore pertains to a lubricating system that includes such a lubricant distributor and a lubricant pump that is connected to the lubricant inlet via a line.

  • Patent number: 8212409
Abstract: A method of activating a Multi-String inverter for photovoltaic generators (1a, 1b) of a photovoltaic plant (6), the Multi-String inverter incorporating on the input side a separate DC-DC converter (2a, 2b) for each generator string (photovoltaic generator) (1a, 1b) and each output of the DC-DC converters (2a, 2b) being connected in parallel and to an input of a DC-AC converter (3) and the DC-AC converter (3) being connected with an alternating current mains (4) for feeding into the mains aims at improving efficiency. This is achieved in that one or several electrical variables, namely input current, input voltage and/or input power are measured at each DC-DC converter (2a, 2b) and at least one of the DC-DC converters (2a, 2b) changing its operating condition as a function of this measurement when a limit value and/or a range is exceeded in such a manner that its power loss is reduced so that the energy yield of the photovoltaic plant (6) is increased.

  • Patent number: 8157452
Abstract: A radial roller bearing for storing shafts in wind turbine transmissions, which has an external bearing ring with an inner runway, an internal bearing ring arranged coaxial thereto provided with an external runway, and a plurality of roller bodies that displace on the runways between the hearing rings held at regular intervals by a bearing cage. To prevent slip, the roller bodies are replaced by hollow rollers that have a greater diameter and a smaller elasticity module than the roller bodies ensuring, when the radial roller bearing is in the load-free state, permanent contact with the bearing rings, a permanent drive of the bearing cage and that the roller bodies have kinematic rotation. The hollow rollers have a higher bending strength, and their internal cover surface has a maximum surface roughness of Rz?25 ?m preventing localized peaks of tension, without any disaggregation in the axial direction.
