  • Publication number: 20230293935
Abstract: An apparatus for assisting pushups or planks comprising a base structure having a substrate contact surface and a flat padded bench rotatably coupled to the base structure. The flat padded bench has rectangular shape adapted to support the user and not interfere with the user’s shoulders when performing a pushup or plank. The flat padded bench is rotatable relative the base structure about an axis of rotation from a neutral position to a first fully rotated position and a second fully rotated position. The height of the device is selected to allow users to perform pushups or planks.

  • Patent number: 11083548
Abstract: An orthodontic bite plate has a body with an anterior base for bonding attachment to the lingual surface of an upper anterior tooth, and an occlusal stop having an incisal surface extending across the lingual aspect of the body to limit upward movement of the patient's lower teeth. A vertical channel divides the body gingival to the occlusal stop into opposing lateral wings that are capable of being compressed together by application of a lateral compressive force to deform the base and thereby release the orthodontic bite plate from the tooth. At least one horizontal channel separates the occlusal stop and lateral wings. Optionally, the occlusal stop can include a vertical member that extends gingivally into the vertical channel between the lateral wings.

  • Publication number: 20190328492
Abstract: An orthodontic button has a base for bonding attachment to a tooth. A substantially vertical slot extends into the outer face of the button, and divides the button into a smaller lateral segment covering a smaller portion of the base and a larger lateral segment covering a larger portion of the base. A post on the larger lateral segment provides a point of attachment for removably engaging an elastic to the button. Exerting a lateral compressive force on the smaller lateral segment and the larger lateral segment compresses the slot and releases the base from the tooth.

  • Publication number: 20190231487
Abstract: An orthodontic bite ramp has a body having an anterior base for bonding attachment to the lingual surface of an upper tooth; an occlusal surface extending lingually from the base to provide a stop limiting upward movement of a patient's lower teeth; and a vertical slot in the lingual aspect of the bite ramp. The vertical slot divides the body into two lateral wings that can be compressed by application of a lateral compressive force to deform the base and thereby release the bite ramp from the tooth. Optionally, a bonding pad can be secured to the base for bonding attachment to the lingual surface of an upper tooth.

  • Patent number: 10064706
Abstract: An orthodontic appliance has a post attached to a first upper tooth, and a button with a recess attached to a second upper tooth. An elongated arm has an eye at one end through which the post is inserted to allow the elongated arm to rotate about the post, and a tip at the other end for removable insertion into the recess of the button. The length of the elongated arm is selectable to maintain a desired spacing between the first and second upper teeth (e.g., by cutting the tip of the elongated arm). An elastic extends from either the post or button to an attachment point on the patient's lower dental arch to exert a force between the patient's maxilla and mandible.
