Abstract: Apparatus and methods for presentation of key frames. In one embodiment, an encoded video file is generated where one or more bits are assigned to key frames and minimizes the number of bits assigned to delta frames. Each key frame may be presented to a user during trick mode operation (e.g., fast forward, rewind, pause, or random seek operation). When the encoded video file is given to a packager, the packager generates a manifest file listing the byte information (byte offset and number of bytes) for each key frame in the encoded video file. When a user inputs a trick play mode command, the packager provides the manifest file to the client device of the user and the client device requests the bytes for the key frames of the video file from the content delivery network.

Abstract: An inflatable sports ball having a bladder and a cover disposed about the bladder in provided. The cover may have an exterior surface that defines a plurality of plateau sections, a first plurality of indentations, and a second plurality of indentations that cooperate to define a topographical arrangement across the exterior surface. Each of the first plurality of indentations has a first indentation depth, a first indentation width, and a first maximum aspect ratio. The first maximum aspect ratio is defined as the ratio of the first indentation width to the first indentation depth. The second plurality of indentations has a second indentation depth, a second indentation width, and a second maximum aspect ratio. The second maximum aspect ratio is defined as the ratio of the second indentation width to the second indentation depth. The second maximum aspect ratio is greater than the first maximum aspect ratio.

Abstract: An oven has at least one of bake and broil heating elements which have a temperature switch as a portion of the replaceable heating element. Upon reaching a predetermined temperature, the switch opens and power through the heating element is secured. Once temperature is reduced below another predetermined temperature, the switch closes for normal operation.

Abstract: Devices and methods provide for the sensing of physiological signals by providing a stimulation waveform that includes a stimulation pulse followed by an active recharge pulse to clear the charge in capacitors within the stimulation path. The active recharge pulse is followed by a period of passive recharge and then a period of no recharge. Non-neurological sources of artifacts within the sensed physiological signal may be handled by providing a brief period of passive recharge followed by a lengthy period of no recharge, which is made possible by the use of the active recharge pulse prior to the passive recharge. The period of no recharge removes any low impedance path to ground from the stimulation electrodes, which allows an amplifier of the sensing circuit to provide common mode rejection of non-neurological signals, such as cardiac signals, present at the sensing electrodes.

Abstract: A plurality of icons are displayed on a companion device having a touch screen interface; the icons can be manipulated by the touch screen interface, and each of the plurality of icons represents a different one of a plurality of audiovisual assets which can be viewed on an external audiovisual device. An input gesture on the touch screen interface is obtained from a user of the companion device, wherein a given one of the icons is flicked in a manner associated with the external audiovisual device. Responsive to the obtaining of the gesture, a signal is dispatched from the companion device. The signal causes the external audiovisual device to access a given one of the plurality of audiovisual assets associated with the given one of the icons. Techniques for other than touch screen devices, and techniques to obtain programs on the companion device, are also provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a stick-handling training system for use in at least sports like hockey, ringette and field hockey. The system is comprised of height adjustable bases and cross members positioned in those bases. The height adjustable bases are vertically adjustable between a first and a second position and elevate the cross members from the ground at heights that can vary based on the object used to be passed underneath in stick-handling training.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a hard surface cleaning and treatment composition with a synergistic combination of mild surfactants that makes the composition particularly suited for leather, synthetic leather, vinyl and stainless steel. The composition is gentle and non-damaging to leather and synthetic leather, and leaves no sticky residue. The composition can clean food soils such as mustard, ketchup, shortening and grease and requires no personal protective equipment when being used. In addition, a method of preserving a leather surface or article by contacting said surface with said substrate is disclosed as well as specific methods associated with making the composition to form a stable water in oil emulsion.

Abstract: The invention relates to solid detergents for cleaning restaurant soils and methods of making and using the same. Embodiments of the invention can include solid cleaning compositions having an alkalinity source comprising an alkali metal carbonate, a surfactant system comprising an anionic surfactant and a nonionic surfactant, a water conditioning agent, and water. Embodiments of the invention can have a pH between about 7 and about 11, and are suitable for removing restaurant soils, including, synthetic grease, animal grease, and proteinaceous soils.
