  • Patent number: 10351801
Abstract: The present invention comprises a hard surface cleaning and treatment composition with a synergistic combination of mild surfactants that makes the composition particularly suited for leather, synthetic leather, vinyl and stainless steel. The composition is gentle and non-damaging to leather and synthetic leather, and leaves no sticky residue. The composition can clean food soils such as mustard, ketchup, shortening and grease and requires no personal protective equipment when being used. In addition, a method of preserving a leather surface or article by contacting said surface with said substrate is disclosed as well as specific methods associated with making the composition to form a stable water in oil emulsion.

  • Patent number: 10343026
Abstract: A sport ball includes a casing that includes a plurality of joined panels and defines a cavity. The casing includes at least a first panel having (a) a first layer positioned to form a portion of an exterior surface of the sport ball, (b) a second layer disposed adjacent to the first layer, and (c) a third layer disposed adjacent to the second layer. The first panel defines a first indentation and a second indentation spaced apart from the first indentation. The first indentation has a first depth and the second indentation has a second depth that is less than the first depth. The sport ball also includes a bladder disposed within the cavity.

  • Publication number: 20190015081
Abstract: A breath collection and storage apparatus is disclosed for collecting and storing samples of exhaled breath for later analysis of nitric oxide contained in collected breath samples. The described apparatus provides for inhaling air into the lungs via a one-way air inflow portal through an airflow chamber via an inhalation/exhalation portal. Air inhaled into the lungs is then expelled back into the airflow chamber via the inhalation/exhalation portal and flowed into a breath storage vessel. A flow meter monitor, such as a flow meter or pressure gauge can be employed to monitor and control the rate of flow of the exhaled breath. A three-way valve can be incorporated into the air outflow portal to selectively permit discharge of exhaled breath to the outside or into the breath storage vessel.

  • Publication number: 20180243564
Abstract: Devices and methods provide for the sensing of physiological signals by providing a stimulation waveform that includes a stimulation pulse followed by an active recharge pulse to clear the charge in capacitors within the stimulation path. The active recharge pulse is followed by a period of passive recharge and then a period of no recharge. Non-neurological sources of artifacts within the sensed physiological signal may be handled by providing a brief period of passive recharge followed by a lengthy period of no recharge, which is made possible by the use of the active recharge pulse prior to the passive recharge. The period of no recharge removes any low impedance path to ground from the stimulation electrodes, which allows an amplifier of the sensing circuit to provide common mode rejection of non-neurological signals, such as cardiac signals, present at the sensing electrodes.

  • Patent number: 10024546
Abstract: A range has burner coil elements which have temperature switches as a portion of the replaceable coils. Upon reaching a predetermined temperature, the switch opens and power through the burner element is secured. The burner elements are preferably open coil units. Lowering the temperature in a cooking utensil below common ignition temperatures while still allowing boiling is an objective of many embodiments.

  • Publication number: 20180045470
Abstract: A condenser equipped with a refrigerant outlet configured to receive and store liquid refrigerant during an off-cycle is described. The refrigerant outlet may include an outflow pipe surrounded by a weir. The weir may include a port, through which liquid refrigerant in the weir can be directed to, for example, moving parts of the chiller for lubrication. The outflow pipe may extend vertically relative to the bottom of the condenser. In some embodiments, a first opening of the outflow pipe may be positioned higher than the bottom of the condenser in the vertical direction, while the weir may be positioned lower than the bottom of the condenser. Liquid refrigerant in the condenser can flow to and stay in the weir in an off-cycle. During a subsequent start-up, the liquid refrigerant in the weir can be directly quickly to moving parts of the chiller.

  • Publication number: 20180014041
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for presentation of key frames. In one embodiment, an encoded video file is generated where one or more bits are assigned to key frames and minimizes the number of bits assigned to delta frames. Each key frame may be presented to a user during trick mode operation (e.g., fast forward, rewind, pause, or random seek operation). When the encoded video file is given to a packager, the packager generates a manifest file listing the byte information (byte offset and number of bytes) for each key frame in the encoded video file. When a user inputs a trick play mode command, the packager provides the manifest file to the client device of the user and the client device requests the bytes for the key frames of the video file from the content delivery network.

  • Publication number: 20170337485
Abstract: A method includes receiving data from a sensor over time. The data comprises a plurality of values that are each indicative of a sensed condition at a unique time. The method also includes determining a real-time value, a mid-term moving average, and a long-term moving average based on the data and determining a most-recent combined average by averaging the real-time value, the mid-term moving average, and the long-term moving average. The method further includes determining an upper setpoint by adding an offset value to the most-recent combined average and determining a lower setpoint by subtracting the offset value to the most-recent combined average. The method also includes transmitting an alert based on a determination that a most recent value of the data is either greater than the upper setpoint or lower than the lower setpoint.

  • Publication number: 20170312128
Abstract: A surgical needle assembly for attachment to an ultrasonic handpiece includes an elongated metal cannula having a distal end and a proximal end. A hub is insert molded onto the cannula generally towards the cannula proximal end and formed from a material having an ultimate strength at least twice a peak cyclical stress force at a joint between the elongated metal cannula and the hub when the surgical needle assembly is in use with the ultrasonic handpiece. The hub material has a stiffness sufficient to limit a motion of the elongated metal cannula to less than 1.5 times an expected peak to peak stroke length when the surgical needle assembly is in use with the ultrasonic handpiece. The hub includes structure for mating attachment to the ultrasonic handpiece.
