The forward lip has a cross-sectional area not greater than a cross-sectional area of a portion of the handle adjacent the forward lip and opposite the recessed area. The pliers also includes a first grip positioned on the recessed area of the handle of the first member and a second grip positioned on the recessed area of the handle of the second member.
