    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus for wireless communications that support fast user equipment (UE) handover between base stations. A UE may receive, from a source base station, a configuration for reference signal transmission at a set of uplink transmit power levels. The UE may transmit multiple uplink reference signal repetitions based on the configuration. The source base station may transmit a request message to a target base station to measure the multiple uplink reference signal repetitions. The target base station may select an uplink reference signal and measure a transmit power correction. The target base station may transmit an indication to the source base station of the selection and transmit power correction. The source base station may evaluate the indications and select the target base station. The source base station may forward to the indicated contents, and the UE may switch and synchronize with the target base station.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may monitor paging search spaces that correspond to beams other than a serving beam if a signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) of the serving beam does not satisfy a SINR threshold. The UE may stop the monitoring if a paging message in the paging search spaces has been successfully decoded. In some aspects, a UE may determine whether a paging search space that corresponds to a serving beam is a last paging search space in a first paging occasion, after the UE decoded a paging downlink control information and failed to decode a paging physical downlink shared channel on the serving beam. The UE may monitor paging search spaces, in a second paging occasion, that correspond to paging search spaces of the first paging occasion. Numerous other aspects are provided.

A user equipment (UE) may register one or more application clients for edge services at an edge application server. In order to maintain edge application servers that are continuing to be used by the UE, an edge enabler server at the edge data network, an edge enabler client at the UE, or both, may initiate a timer that is used to confirm the edge application server is continuing to be used. Such techniques may help prevent resources from being consumed after the edge services are no longer needed, such as after the UE no longer needs the edge services or the UE has moved outside of an area associated with the edge services.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for a high priority route selection descriptor (RSD) selection timer. A protocol data unit (PDU) session may be established for an application associated with a user equipment (UE). If the PDU session is associated with a lower RSD priority than the highest RSD priority for the application, the UE may initiate an RSD selection timer. After expiration of the RSD selection timer, the UE may try to establish another PDU session for the application with the highest RSD priority for the application. If another PDU session with the highest RSD priority is accepted, the UE may release the initial PDU session with the lower RSD priority and establish a new PDU session with the highest RSD priority. Such implementations may increase data rates, quality of service, and reliability for the application, decrease latency of the application, or decrease power consumption of the UE.

A processor of the wireless device may measure signal parameters of signals received from a first synchronization signal block (SSB) beam of a base station monitored by the wireless device and other SSB beams of the base station, determine whether a difference in measured signal parameters of signals received from the first SSB beam and another SSB beam of the base station satisfies a signal quality difference threshold, and autonomously switching to the second SSB beam as the serving beam in response to determining that the difference in the measured signal parameters of signals received from the first SSB beam and a second SSB beam satisfies the signal quality difference threshold. The signal quality difference threshold may be listed in a table in memory or determined via machine learning.

The UE may reduce a rate of handoffs when the UE determines that the quantity of handoffs exceeds the handoff threshold within the time period. The UE also may select one of the RATs to camp on and maintain the wireless connection when the UE determines that the quantity of handoffs exceeds the handoff threshold. The UE may determine which RAT to camp on based on handoff count information, handoff total connection time information, or contextual awareness information.
