  • Publication number: 20100325928
Abstract: Improved labels are disclosed for containers of the type defined at least in part by at least one sidewall having an outer surface. The outer surface has at least one label thereon, the label comprising a first writing surface defined by a plurality of individual writing areas arranged in an array characterized in that adjacent writing areas are at least substantially isolated from each other by an intermediate space, and a second writing surface in the intermediate space. • Patent number: 7257904
Abstract: A tool for inspecting a trailer kingpin and adjusting a fifth wheel hitch includes a plate having at least two mutually substantially perpendicular sides, one side having upper and lower generally rectangular tabs extending therefrom and separated by a space therebetween, the space being dimensioned to snugly receive a kingpin lower flange, the upper tab being dimensioned to be snugly received along a kingpin shank. Opposing this tabbed side is a side having at least one shaped recess for receiving a means for adjusting play in a fifth wheel hitch and transferring the application of torque thereto. The plate also includes a shaped aperture for receiving a kingpin, the shaped aperture having a substantially rectangular wide portion and a substantially rectangular narrow portion.

  • Patent number: 5851491
Abstract: A filter for a pipette tip is provided, comprising a plurality of vertically-oriented cylindrical micro fibers cohesively bundled in adjoining columns which are composed of a core of an autoclavable material and an outer coating of a hydrophobic material. The micro fibers are packed together such that each micro fiber is compressed against the other fibers and the inner surface of the pipette tip. The compression of the fibers creates vertically-oriented pores interstitially between the micro fibers, each pore having a pore size at various points within the filter. Each filter has an equal predetermined density of micro fibers per square millimeter in its uncompressed state, such that when the filter is compressed, its pore sizes will be consistent with another filter used in a pipette tips of the same size and shape.

  • Patent number: 5725109
Abstract: A novel rack for holding test tubes, elongated objects and the like in an upright position. The rack is formed in a one-piece construction having upper and intermediate panels, both panels having holes which are aligned with one another to receive tubes passing through both panels. The holes securely retain the tubes upright and separate from each other during shipping and dispensing by means of easily deformable holes having integral slits radiating from each hole. The carton is lightweight, collapsible and can be easily scored and recycled.

  • Patent number: 5366088
Abstract: A pipette tip rack system is disclosed that includes a plurality of tip racks that may be nested one upon the other with an integrally formed locking mechanism that locks each rack to the one immediately below it. A cover member is also included that acts as a cover for the top rack in the stack. This cover also utilizes the same locking mechanism. Also included is a bottom member that serves as a dust cover and uses the same locking mechanism to permit its fixture to the bottom rack. The whole system when lockingly fixed together forms a relatively secure unit so that if it is upset the tips will not spill out. Further, each element in the stack retains its sterile condition. Finally, the stack of racks may be combined with a box having a top that fits over the cover and a bottom that receives the bottom member and lowest rack. This box may be removed from the stack and assembled so that a single rack may be used remote of the stack.
