  • Publication number: 20190253850
Abstract: A technological solution to the problem of meeting people solely through electronic communication is described. The technological solution includes receiving location data from a first user system a second user system of a potential encounter within a venue, and delivering a nudge from the first user system to the second user system. The nudge is a canned request to engage in an in-person communication for users associated with the first user system and the second user system. Upon confirmation of the nudge, and receiving confirmation of a human-to-human interaction, potential encounter contact information is provided to facilitate electronic communication between the first user system and the second user system.
    Type: Application
    Filed: April 24, 2019
    Publication date: August 15, 2019
Inventors: Daniel J. France, Jaden M. Lemmon, Tommy Yi, Jaret T. Martin

  • Patent number: 9107354
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for early diagnosis and real time remote intervention of crop condition by correlating collected crop characteristics with known plant parameters, economic variables and algorithms to computer generate an irrigation decision, remotely execute the same and notify the end user.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 5, 2010
Date of Patent: August 18, 2015
    Assignee: SMARTFIELD, INC.
Inventors: Tommy J. Martin, Jeffrey P. McNeill, Joel Hohenberger
  • Publication number: 20130308675
Abstract: An apparatus and method of determining the optimal plant canopy temperature of a plant by measuring chlorophyll a variable fluorescence is described. Leaf samples taken from the plant are placed on a temperature gradient device, exposed to light for an amount of time, and the variable fluorescence emitted from the leaves is measured along with the temperature. Calculations of Fv/Fo over a period of time are used to determine the optimal plant canopy temperature for a plant or a crop. The apparatus and method can be used to compare specific cultivars, to assess the results of plant breeding programs, and to assist in crop management procedures.

  • Publication number: 20040243263
Abstract: Method and apparatus for luring a member of an animal species to an area in an environment. In one aspect, a pre-recorded sound that simulates an environmental contact sound made by the animal species in the environment is played back to lure the member of the animal species to the area. In another aspect, first and second pre-recorded sounds that simulate first and second sounds made by the animal species in the environment are played back contemporaneously.
    Type: Application
