    Abstract: A light guide plate for a liquid crystal screen display apparatus providing a favorable visual effect. The printing data of a light reflection pattern stored in a computer is transferred to an inkjet printer to allow the inkjet printer to subject a substantially-rectangular printing face surrounded by upper and lower and left and right edges of a light guide plate to a reflective printing for diffusing light emitted from a light source into the interior of the light guide plate. The printing data for performing the reflective printing is prepared so that a printing density is increased from the edges in the four directions corresponding to the edges in the four directions of the light guide plate toward one or more high density setting points set in front of the respective opposed edges. The reflective printing is performed using white ink including titanium oxide.

    Abstract: A surface-emitting illuminating device includes a light guide plate, a light source for emitting light to the interior of the light guide plate, and a light reflection plate and/or a light diffusion plate. The color temperature of the light-emitting face of the prepared surface-emitting illuminating device is measured. When the measured color temperature is not a required color temperature, ink for coloring the light reflection plate and/or light diffuser plate is selected. The selected ink is used to subject the light reflection plate and/or light diffuser plate to a coloring printing by an inkjet printer. The color temperature of the light-emitting face of the surface-emitting illuminating device is measured. Until the measured color temperature of the light-emitting face of the surface-emitting illuminating device is within an allowable range, the color printing of the light reflection plate and/or light diffuser plate is repeatedly corrected.

An inkjet printer includes a white ink supply section in which white ink including coloring pigment-base particles is stored in an ink container, the recording head of the inkjet printer is connected to the ink container so that the recording head can discharge white ink, the white ink is adjusted so that the contained amount of the coloring pigment-base particles of copper phthalocyanine included therein is adjusted depending on a desired color temperature of the light guide plate, white ink for which the contained amount of the copper phthalocyanine is adjusted is used by the inkjet printer to form a reflection printing on the light guide plate, thereby preparing a light guide plate including the color temperature corresponding to the white ink.

    Abstract: A light guide plate having a different color temperature can be created easily. The inkjet printer includes a white ink supply section including ink tanks for storing a plurality of types of white inks determining the color temperature of the light guide plate, respectively. The respective print heads are connected to the respective ink tanks so that the respective print heads can eject white inks of types different from one another. A data table is provided that sets various printing conditions determining the color temperature of the light guide plate. Based on the data table, the printer drives, based on selected printing conditions, and forms the reflection printing on the light guide plate to create a light guide plate having a color temperature corresponding to printing conditions selected based on one type of white ink or a combination of a plurality of types of white inks.

    Abstract: A concealed windshield wiper system is provided with a unique storage arrangement. A wiper pivot and a wiper drive motor mechanism are mounted on a platform of a lift mechanism. Arranged on this platform is a pivot container for storing the wiper pivot. The wiper blade carried by the wiper arm is stored in a wiper blade container formed on another platform of another lift mechanism. These lift mechanisms are operated via a cam and lever mechanism by a single lift drive motor mechanism. This assembly is stored in a cowl box between the rear edge of a hood and the lower end of a windshield of a vehicle. The pivot and wiper blade containers are lifted out of the cowl box to their lift positions according to a predetermined schedule. During operation of the wiper arm, only the pivot container is left in the lift position with the wiper blade lowered to the storage position thereof.

    Abstract: A transformer has an insulator interposed between respective primary and secondary coils wound on a coil bobbin which has an axial winding part and opposing radially extending flanges. The insulator is made from a continuous sheet of material which is corrugated to provide an insulating base having a width larger than the width of the winding part of the coil bobbin and from a continuous, plastic insulating sheet member having substantially the same width as the winding part. The corrugated insulated base material and insulating sheet member are wound between the primary coil and the secondary coil and the corrugated insulating base is bent at both side edges to be L-shaped to intimately fit to the inner surface of the flanges of the coil bobbin so as to provide an insulator which positively prevents coil wire at each end portion of the coil from dropping out of alignment with respective coil turns.
