  • Publication number: 20090039190
Abstract: An electric fishing reel includes a motor for driving a spool, which is accommodated within a motor casing, and a mechanical change-speed mechanism which is coupled to the motor and a power transmission mechanism for transmitting rotation of the motor to the spool and is adapted to switch transmission of power of the motor to the spool between a high-speed power transmission state and a low-speed power transmission state. A first wall portion and a second wall portion apart from the first wall portion in the axial direction are provided within the motor casing. An epicycle reduction gear mechanism for reducing the rotating speed of the motor is installed between the first wall portion and the second wall portion and a planetary gear carrier is supported on the second wall portion. An output gear which meshes with the mechanical change-speed mechanism is attached integrally to the planetary gear carrier.

  • Patent number: 6318654
Abstract: A bail (20) is joined to a pair of bail joining arms (16) through a pair of bail support members such that rotation and inversion of the bail (20) are permitted. One of the bail support members incorporates a swing arm (18), a line roller (22) rotatively joined to the swing arm and a fishing-line introducing portion (24) disposed adjacent to the line roller. A bail joining portion (26) to which an end of the bail can be joined is formed at the leading end of the fishing-line introducing portion to project over the leading end. The fishing-line introducing portion has a shape (a curved surface), the diameter of which is gradually reduced from the line roller to the bail joining portion. Moreover, the end and the bail joining portion arm joined to substantially the same axis by a predetermined joining means.

  • Patent number: 5845858
Abstract: In a fishing spinning reel, a supporting member having a fishing line guide is swingably supported on an end portion of a rotor so that the supporting member is placed alternately in a line take-up state and in a line let-out state. The outer configuration of the supporting member is formed such that a portion of the supporting member, which is from its base portion to the end portion having the fishing line guide, is inclined towards a spool. The spinning reel is free from the entanglement of the fishing line and is able to maintain the rotation of the rotor balanced.
