  • Publication number: 20190147485
Abstract: A merchant point-of-sale (“POS”) system architecture is provided. Systems and methods are provided for enabling an alternative processing network for a custom rewards transaction performed at a POS. A custom rewards transaction may be a transaction in which a customer opts-in to a merchant-funded rewards (MFR) program. Opting-in to the MFR program may terminate the customer's default enrollment in a conventional issuer-bank funded rewards program. Opting-in to the MFR program may also reroute the processing of the transaction from a conventional processing network to the alternative processing network. The alternative processing network may incur transaction fees to a merchant that are lower than the transaction fees of the conventional processing network.

  • Publication number: 20190147479
Abstract: A system for integrating custom benefits into a communication transmission exchange is provided. The communication transmission exchange may include a plurality of entities. The system may include a receiver configured to receive a custom benefit selection. A second entity may perform the selection. The custom benefit may be associated with a first entity. The selection may trigger termination of any predetermined benefits to be communicated from a fourth entity to the second entity. The predetermined benefits may have been previously associated with a communication associated with the custom benefit. The selection may trigger instantiation of a communication line between the first entity and the second entity. The communication line may be for delivering a custom benefit communication, associated with the custom benefit, from the first entity to the second entity. The selection may also trigger deliverance of the custom benefit communication from the first entity to the second entity.

  • Patent number: 10129754
Abstract: Systems and devices are provided for real-time digital issuance/provisioning of digital resources. In accordance with embodiments of the invention, real-time provisioning of the digital resources occurs through access to a mobile application. In specific embodiments in which the user does not currently have authorization to use the mobile application, an authorization code is issued to a user and inputted via the mobile application as a means for verifying the identity of the user prior to provisioning the digital resource to the digital storage. As such, by having the provisioning occur electronically via the mobile application provisioning of the digital resource is highly secure, in that, provisioning occurs without the user possessing or having knowledge of the digital resource credentials prior to provisioning.

  • Publication number: 20180211247
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to establishing dedicated connection for token replacement. Embodiments receive user authentication credentials; validate the user authentication credentials; in response to validation, enable access to one or more features or functions of a mobile application; in some cases, determine that circumstances match a predetermined trigger including potential compromise of the current token, and in response present, on the mobile device, a list of digital wallets with which a current token is associated; receive input indicating which of the digital wallets in the list to provision a new token; receive transfer, over an established dedicated communication channel between a server and the mobile device, the new token; and automatically associate the new token with the indicated digital wallets.

  • Publication number: 20180211249
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to enabling authentication shifting based on mobile wallet characteristics such as presence and/or content of a payment credential or pre-generated token. Embodiments receive a request for access to a function or feature by a user of the mobile device; receive first user authentication credentials from the user; access a mobile wallet storing at least one payment credential associated with an owner of the mobile device, the at least one payment credential comprising owner identity information; compare the first user authentication credentials with the owner identity information; confirm the first user authentication credentials match the owner identity information; and enable access to the requested function or feature. Embodiments also determine that additional user authentication is required for access to the requested function or feature; receive and validate second user authentication credentials; and enable access to one or more features or functions of a mobile application.

  • Patent number: 9961529
Abstract: The invention provides for optimizing Near Field Communications (NFC) at a NFC-enabled interaction terminal configured for conducting user interactions. The invention provides for a user to designate which user credentials are applied to which type of NFC-enabled interaction terminals. A NFC-enabled interaction terminal-specific Application Identifier (AID) is assigned to the user credentials, and, in use, the AID list that is communicated, via NFC, by a mobile communication device to the NFC-enabled interaction terminal includes the NFC-enabled interaction terminal-specific AID, which implements an AID selection order that prioritizes use of the AID. In response, the application executing on the mobile communication device processes commands from the NFC-enabled interaction terminal using the pre-designated user credentials.
