  • Patent number: 11925207
Abstract: An electronic device includes a hand held base assembly that includes circuitry including memory and firmware executed by a processor or microcontroller of the circuitry; and a cartridge assembly that includes memory that is read by the firmware of the handheld base assembly. The cartridge assembly and the handheld base assembly are configured to removably couple together to define the electronic device for producing an aerosol for inhalation by a person. An enclosed air passageway is defined by the cartridge assembly and by the handheld base assembly, which isolates the airflow from the electronics of the device. The enclosed air passageway extends between the opening of the mouthpiece for taking a breath and a diaphragm of the handheld base assembly, movement of the diaphragm changing the air pressure within an enclosed interior space having a pressure sensor for trigging the pressure sensor when a breath is taken.

  • Patent number: 11864488
Abstract: Techniques for recommending side-by-side plantings of pairs of seeds include a server computer receiving agricultural data records that represent crop seed data describing seed and yield properties of seeds and first data for agricultural fields where the seeds were planted. The server receives second data for available seeds and automatically calculates a dataset of success probability scores that describe the probability of a successful yield on the target fields. Data is organized as pairs to facilitate comparison of actual plantings to optimized plantings that have a probability of success (POS), in terms of yield lift or increased yield season-over-season, for different yield values. Confidence values are generated and stored in association with the POS values and can be used as a basis of visual output to support planting and/or field management decisions as part of an automated intelligent agricultural decision support system.

  • Publication number: 20230417689
Abstract: Systems and methods for producing and using polymer based fixed targets for hydrated, room temperature, high-throughput serial protein crystallography with minimal background and minimal sample consumption are provided. The fixed targets can also be used with non-protein samples such as nanoparticle inorganic crystals. The targets maintain full crystal hydration that allows for on-chip crystallization as well as maintaining long term stability of the sample within the chip. The target chips are optimized to minimize background by controlling the sample thickness in the beam to match crystal size, enabling fast raster scanning at lower fidelity and high hit rates that facilitate dynamic measurements. The targets provide an inexpensive, flexible substrate for on-chip, micro-batch or vapor diffusion crystallization facilitated by polymer brushes for sample concentration and surface initiated crystallization thereby eliminating damaging crystal sample transfer.
