  • Patent number: 10604393
Abstract: A device for unstopping a stopped specimen vessel that contains a liquid specimen such as blood is equipped with a mechanism which sucks and captures particles floating around the opening of the specimen vessel and prevents contamination of the specimen. The unstopping device grips a vessel and the stopper of the opening of the vessel, and removes the stopper from the opening of the vessel by changing the relative distance between the vessel-gripping mechanism and the unstopping mechanism. The unstopping device is equipped with: suction holes for sucking therethrough the gas which is present around the opening and contains liquid or solid particles; a pipeline which is connected to the suction holes and through which the sucked gas and particles are led downstream; a suction device connected to the pipeline; and a spirally flexed pipeline part disposed between the pipeline and the suction device.

  • Patent number: 6067136
Abstract: A liquid crystal cell is made by filling a nematic liquid crystal between a pair of glass substrates having a transparent electrode on each confronting inside surface, a twisted retardation film or an ordinary retardation film being disposed as a birefringence layer on the visible side of the liquid crystal cell, and an absorption-type polarizing film being disposed on the outside thereof. On the opposite side to the visible side of the liquid crystal cell, a reflection-type polarizing film, a translucent absorbing film and a back light are disposed in that order. Through the above configuration, a bright reflection-type color display using outside light and a transmission-type color display using a back light can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 5803938
Abstract: A liquid vaporizing apparatus includes a container for holding a liquid at a constant temperature with a temperature adjustment unit and a gas that does not react with the liquid is bubbled through the liquid in the container to vaporize the liquid. The container for holding the liquid has an internal space above the liquid and a second temperature adjustment unit for controlling the temperature of the internal space separately from the temperature of the liquid in the container. Since the internal space is maintained at a constant temperature, higher than the temperature of the liquid, the quantity of the vaporized liquid produced is stable.

  • Patent number: 5366515
Abstract: An electrolytic capacitor having a capacitor element which includes a plurality of foils, and having also an electrolyte, wherein the plurality of foils and the electrolyte are contained in a cylindrical case having on one of its end surfaces a pair of lead terminals to connect to the capacitor element and on another of its end surfaces an explosion preventive vent is electrically aged. The electrolytic capacitor is placed onto a support table so that the capacitor's end surface having the lead terminals is not below the capacitor's end surface having the explosion preventive vent. Each one of the pair of lead terminals is connected to a respective one of a pair of electrode sections. An electric voltage is then applied across the pair of lead terminals through the pair of electrode sections.
