  • Patent number: 8114235
Abstract: A method of continuously making a disposable pants-type diaper includes feeding first and second webs in a machine direction and bonding the first and second webs together to obtain first composite web. From the first composite web, a substantially circular section defined between each pair of the adjacent chassis in the middle region as viewed in the cross direction is clipped out to obtain a second composite web. The second composite web is folded in two and halves of the second web facing each other are locally bonded together by bonding agent to obtain a third composite web. The third composite web is provided on both sides of a cutting line extending in the cross direction with seal regions to obtain a fourth composite web and finally the fourth composite web is cut along the cutting line to obtain the individual pants-type diapers.

  • Patent number: 8114236
Abstract: Disclosed is a method of continuously making a disposable pants-type diaper having a body waste receiving pocket. A first web is continuously fed in a machine direction and a second web is continuously fed onto the first web and is folded back onto itself in a cross direction and locally bonded together along opposite edges thereof to obtain a third web. The third web is superposed on the first web and then the first web and the third web are bonded to each other to obtain a first composite web. From between the adjacent chassis in a second composite web defined by the first and third webs, substantially semicircular web pieces are clipped out to obtain third composite web on both sides of a cutting line to obtain a fourth composite web which is cut along the cutting line to obtain the individual pants-type diapers.

  • Publication number: 20110060306
Abstract: The present invention aims to provide a pants type disposable diaper free from noticeable gathers formed on the innermost side of the crotch region. In the crotch region of the pants type disposable diaper, the bodily fluid-absorbent core is sandwiched between the liquid-permeable inner sheet and the liquid-impermeable outer sheet. Further inside the inner sheet, the innermost sheet is provided and this innermost sheet prevents the inner sheet from coming in contact with the wearer's skin. The innermost sheet is joined, in the regions extending in the vicinity of the ends thereof opposite in the front-back direction A, to at least one of the inner sheet and the outer sheet. The innermost sheet includes, in its region defined on the transverse center line P of the diaper, the tuck extending downward toward the inner sheet.

  • Patent number: 7901391
Abstract: A disposable pants type wearing article includes a chassis folded in two halves along a folding guide extending in a transverse direction and these respective halves of the chassis are joined to each other along lateral edges thereof to form the article. Leg openings are defined by upper and lower leg opening edges formed by incisions in the chassis so that these upper and lower leg opening edges extending at a level a predetermined dimension above the folding guide. Above the upper leg opening edges, waist elastic members are attached and, below the lower leg opening edges, crotch elastic member are attached to the diaper. Under the contraction of these elastic members, a transverse dimension of the zone in which the waist elastic members are attached to the diaper 1 becomes larger than a transverse dimension of the zone in which the crotch elastic members are attached to the diaper.

  • Publication number: 20110046598
Abstract: The present invention aims to provide an improved wearing article allowing the dimension of the leg-openings to be adequately large without causing leakage of urine. A chassis is formed in a crotch region with an opening extending through inner and outer sheets in the thickness direction. The opening extends across the crotch region in a longitudinal direction partially into front and rear waist regions and also extends through parts of respective waist region elastic sheets in the thickness direction. An absorbent panel functioning as a liquid-absorbent structure is attached to the skin-facing surface of the chassis to cover the opening. The liquid-absorbent panel is joined along both side edges thereof to the inner sheet and the waist region elastic sheets by bonding or sealing technique and along front and rear ends thereof to the waist region elastic sheets by bonding or sealing technique.

  • Publication number: 20110004181
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a disposable pants-type wearing article improved so that urine and feces should not mixed together within the wearing article. This object is achieved by a unique construction such that a crotch region of a pants-type wearing article is provided above an inner surface of the crotch region with a functional sheet extending across the crotch region and bonded thereto along opposite side edges of the crotch region 6 but left free from the inner surface of the crotch region in a zone defined between opposite side edges. This functional sheet forms a pair of leg-cuffs covering portions of the wearer's legs from inside and simultaneously forms a partition wall adapted to divide the crotch region in a front-to-rear direction and thereby to prevent urine and feces from being mixed.
