Abstract: In a disposable absorbent article such as a disposable diaper including fastener elements by means of which front and rear waist regions are releasably connected with each other, the fastener elements are not affected by contraction of elastic members arranged in these waist regions. In this absorbent article, the front waist region and/or the rear waist region is or are divided into an elasticized intermediate zone provided with the elastic members and inelasticized transversely opposite side edge zones contigious to transversely opposite side edges of the intermediate zone. The fastener elements are provided in the transversely opposite side edge zones.

Abstract: A method of continuously making a disposable pants-type diaper includes feeding first and second webs in a machine direction and bonding the first and second webs together to obtain first composite web. From the first composite web, a substantially circular section defined between each pair of the adjacent chassis in the middle region as viewed in the cross direction is clipped out to obtain a second composite web. The second composite web is folded in two and halves of the second web facing each other are locally bonded together by bonding agent to obtain a third composite web. The third composite web is provided on both sides of a cutting line extending in the cross direction with seal regions to obtain a fourth composite web and finally the fourth composite web is cut along the cutting line to obtain the individual pants-type diapers.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of continuously making a disposable pants-type diaper having a body waste receiving pocket. A first web is continuously fed in a machine direction and a second web is continuously fed onto the first web and is folded back onto itself in a cross direction and locally bonded together along opposite edges thereof to obtain a third web. The third web is superposed on the first web and then the first web and the third web are bonded to each other to obtain a first composite web. From between the adjacent chassis in a second composite web defined by the first and third webs, substantially semicircular web pieces are clipped out to obtain third composite web on both sides of a cutting line to obtain a fourth composite web which is cut along the cutting line to obtain the individual pants-type diapers.

Abstract: A pull-on article comprises a chassis including a first waist region, a second waist region and a crotch region between the first and second waist regions. The article is shaped into a pull-on having a waist and a pair of leg openings by weld-bonding side edges of the first and second waist regions. The waist and leg openings are respectively provided along respective edged defining the waist and leg openings with waist and leg elastic members which are respectively formed into a tape shape having a relatively width dimension. The first and second waist regions, and the leg and waist elastic members are respectively formed of a fibrous non-woven fabric including at least thermoplastic fibers wherein the leg and waist elastic members include at least elastically extendible fibers as the thermoplastic fibers.

A plurality of auxiliary elastic members extending across a panel are interposed between the inner sheet and the outer sheet and attached to these sheets between waist surrounding elastic members and leg-holes so that these auxiliary elastic members may contract in the waist-circumferential direction. Each of the auxiliary elastic members has transversely opposite end portions secured to the inner and outer sheets and an intermediate portion not directly bonded to the inner and outer sheets.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a disposable pants-type wearing article improved so that urine and feces should not mixed together within the wearing article. This object is achieved by a unique construction such that a crotch region of a pants-type wearing article is provided above an inner surface of the crotch region with a functional sheet extending across the crotch region and bonded thereto along opposite side edges of the crotch region 6 but left free from the inner surface of the crotch region in a zone defined between opposite side edges. This functional sheet forms a pair of leg-cuffs covering portions of the wearer's legs from inside and simultaneously forms a partition wall adapted to divide the crotch region in a front-to-rear direction and thereby to prevent urine and feces from being mixed.
