  • Publication number: 20140290247
Abstract: An integrative system of a concentrating solar power plant and desalination plant comprises a solar heat collector which generates superheated steam using solar heat, condensation type steam turbine power generation equipment which uses steam as a heat cycle medium, and multistage flash or multiple-effect desalination equipment. Superheated steam is generated by the solar heat collector and supplied to the power generation equipment to generate power and steam is extracted from a steam turbine middle stage of the power generation equipment and supplied to the desalination equipment. A steam supply line which bypasses the steam turbine and adjusts the pressure and temperature of steam from the solar heat collector and supplies the steam to the desalination equipment is provided.

  • Publication number: 20120255471
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a solar boiler system that can suppress the installation cost for a solar heat collector and significantly improve gross thermal efficiency while minimizing a rise in air temperature resulting from the collected solar heat. The solar boiler system of the present invention includes a boiler for burning fossil fuel; a primary air system for pneumatically transporting pulverized fossil fuel to a burner attached to the boiler; a secondary air system for supplying preheated air for combustion to the boiler; and a secondary air superheater provided at the secondary air system, the secondary air superheater further superheating the preheated air for combustion with solar thermal energy.

  • Publication number: 20120192564
Abstract: A thermal power plant includes carbon dioxide capture scrubbing equipment that suppresses reductions in the efficiency and output of a steam turbine, and, at the same time, reduces variations in the amount of steam supplied from a solar heat collection apparatus to a reboiler and variations in the temperature and pressure of reboiler generated steam, and stably carries out reactions for separating carbon dioxide from an absorbent by heating. The thermal power plant includes the carbon dioxide capture scrubbing equipment for capturing carbon dioxide from a boiler exhaust gas and the solar heat collection apparatus. Steam generated by the solar heat collection apparatus is supplied to the reboiler provided for a regeneration tower of the carbon dioxide capture scrubbing equipment.
