  • Publication number: 20130154436
Abstract: Not less than two regions different in magnetic circuit design are provided in a rotational axis direction of the rotor (30), the regions being different by changing a cross-sectional shape in the rotational axis direction in a cross-section perpendicular to a rotational shaft (10) of the rotor (30) having the permanent magnets (1) and the rotor core (2); the supplemental grooves (5) are provided in axial partial regions of each of the teeth (7) of the stator core (3); and the region in which the supplemental groove (5) is provided is each partial region for each region facing a region same in magnetic circuit design of the rotor (30). This enables to reduce cogging torque generated by variations on the rotor side.

  • Publication number: 20120139372
Abstract: A compact, light permanent magnet motor with low torque pulsations is obtained by reducing a cogging torque resulting from variations at the end of a rotor, such as an error in attachment position and a variation in magnet characteristic of the permanent magnets. A permanent magnet rotating electrical machine includes a rotor having a rotor core and plural magnetic poles formed of permanent magnets provided to the rotor core, and a stator having plural teeth opposing the plural magnetic poles, a stator core provided with slots in which to store an armature winding wire wound around the teeth, and supplemental grooves provided to the teeth in portions opposing the rotor in an axial direction of the stator core.

  • Patent number: 7936549
Abstract: A state grasp device that needs no optical adjustment, and can be downsized. An exciting current waveform of an opening electromagnetic coil of an electromagnetic operating set functioning to drive a moving contact of a switching device includes an inflection point appearing subsequently to a maximum value, the inflection point taking place at the time of the contact being parted. Accordingly, a wear amount of contact from the change over time can be obtained. A position of the inflection point is obtained, for example, by focusing the rate of change in current; and a wear amount of a switching contact is obtained from the change over time of a time when the inflection point takes place. With the device, the use of a mechanical detection device, such as an optical detector, can be eliminated.

  • Patent number: 6631105
Abstract: When a deviated gravity disc is reproduced at a higher rate with the disc reproducing apparatus, an excessive vibration is generated and this vibration gives adverse effect on the disc reproducing apparatus and peripheral components/apparatuses, and/or may represent an annoyance to a user. A vibration information detector for detecting vibration of the disc reproducing apparatus or a deviated gravity information detector for detecting amount of gravity deviation of disc is provided, and as a result of such detection of an imbalance (i.e., excessive vibration or mass eccentricity), and a reproducing rate switching control controls sets and limits the reproducing rate of the disc reproducing apparatus to a substitute speed which is lower or higher than a normal reproducing speed.

  • Patent number: 5525547
Abstract: A molded semiconductor device has a plurality of slender leads formed with a sealing strip connecting them together to prevent the molding material from leaking out between the leads. Specifically, the sealing strip comprising an adhesive and an electrically insulating material is applied to the leads substantially perpendicular to the lengthwise direction of the leads. The strip is place such that an inner edge thereof substantially lies on a boundary line or inside where the molding terminates. The strip is then thrust into spaces formed between the leads. Thereafter the semiconductor chip is connected to the leads, the semiconductor chip and the leads are placed in a molding unit, the strip serving to block the molding material leaking outside the molding unit.

  • Patent number: 5488595
Abstract: A disk-like optical information recording medium in/from which information can be optically recorded/reproduced along a virtual track virtually defined in a spiral or concentric circular form on the recording medium is provided with a pair of wobbling pits provided for each predetermined data record unit and shifted in position in opposite senses of a radius direction with respect to a virtual track center and a group of at least two pits provided at specified positions in association with a leading one of the paired wobbling pits. The pit group forms together with the leading wobbling pit a mark following a predetermined modulation rule applied upon recording of information and changes between tracks adjacent to each other in the radius direction.

  • Patent number: 5077716
Abstract: An optical recording and reproducing system having an accurate high-speed optical head positioning apparatus. In one embodiment, a positive acceleration is applied to the optical head until the optical head has moved half the distance to a target track. Thereafter, a negative acceleration is applied to the optical head to decelerate the optical head until the optical head arrives at the target track. Feedback control is not used while the optical head is moving, thus eliminating a delay in response time due to a limited servo band upon the transition from the positive acceleration to the negative acceleration.
