  • Publication number: 20140105568
Abstract: A recording and reproduction device includes an image quality information acquisition component, an image quality information selector, and a converter. The image quality information acquisition component acquires, from a portable device that is configured to be connected to the recording and reproduction device and that is configured to reproduce video content, at least one set of image quality information specifying image quality that is compatible with the portable device. The image quality information selector selects image quality information from among the image quality information acquired by the image quality information acquisition component based on an attribute of transfer content selected to be transferred from the recording and reproduction device to the portable device. The converter converts the transfer content into video content such that the video content has image quality specified by the image quality information that has been selected by the image quality information selector.

  • Publication number: 20090022482
Abstract: The image signal superimposing portion generates an image signal for displaying images in a superimposed manner by using at least three layers, i.e., first to third layers. A main moving image is displayed in the first layer. A still image generated by an OSD generating portion is displayed in the second layer. A sub moving image having a display size smaller than that of the main moving image is displayed accessorily in the third layer. The first layer is displayed below the second layer, and the second layer is displayed below the third layer. The image signal superimposing portion superimposes these three layers of images so as to generate a single hierarchical image signal. When a hiding instruction receiving portion receives a hiding instruction, the hiding portion generates an opaque color image in the second layer by using the OSD generating portion so that the main moving image displayed on a layer below an OSD layer becomes invisible.

  • Patent number: 6102328
Abstract: A method to reduce the wave resistance of an airplane by disposing a fluid element such as an engine nacelle at a predetermined position on an upper surface of a main wing, positively superposing the air flow generated by the fluid element onto the air flow on the upper surface of the main wing, thereby establishing a gentle profile of pressure on the upper surface of the main wing, and retarding the generation of a shock wave. If the engine nacelle is disposed on the upper surface of the main wing, and the longitudinal position of the front end of the engine nacelle is set in a range of 63% to 100% from the front end of a wing chord of the main wing (see b and i in FIG. 9), a shock wave is generated on the upper surface of the main wing in the range of a transonic speed to inhibit an increase in wave resistance. Thus, the cruising speed can be increased, while avoiding an increase in amount of fuel consumed.

  • Patent number: 5518844
Abstract: In a first processing step, whether a first photosensitive material is a particular photosensitive material is detected. If it is detected at least that the first photosensitive material is the particular photosensitive material, processing conditions in the first processing step are recorded in a predetermined position on the first photosensitive material. Exposure conditions in the exposure step are set in accordance with one of the result of the detection and the processing conditions recorded on the first photosensitive material. The second photosensitive material is exposed under the set exposure conditions. If the first photosensitive material is detected to be a particular photosensitive material, the setting of the exposure conditions is changed in the exposure step, and the exposure conditions are set in such a manner as to compensate the difference in the characteristic occurring in the image of the particular first photosensitive material depending on standard processing and particular processing.
