  • Patent number: 6194533
Abstract: Disclosed is a liner film for bulk container, which comprises a polyethylene (A) prepared by the use of a single site olefin polymerization catalyst such as a metallocene catalyst, said polyethylene (A) having a density of 0.920 to 0.940 g/cm3, MFR of 0.1 to 3.0 g/10 min and a melting point of 115 to 135° C. When the film is heat-sealed, its sealed portion preferably has a tensile strength at break (Ts) of 2.0 to 4.0 kg/15 mm and a tensile elongation at break (EL) of 150 to 600%. The liner film for bulk container has the advantages: the film can be made lightweight by decreasing the film thickness; the film shows such a high heat-sealing strength that the heat-sealed portion is not broken even if no adhesive tape is attached thereto; and a bulk container liner formed from the film can be filled with a content of a higher temperature than the conventional temperature. Also disclosed is a bulk container liner shaping the above film into a bag.

  • Patent number: 6052678
Abstract: A problem solving operation apparatus obtains an optimum solution for a given problem through a combined use of a plurality of optimum solution search techniques of a genetic algorithm, and other search techniques like a hill climbing method. A combination of the optimum solution search techniques applied to each of a group of solution candidates varies according to each state. When a search efficiency in a single state is lowered, the problem solving operation apparatus immediately causes a state transition to the next state, thus enabling a search of an optimum solution through the use of another combination of more efficient optimum solution search techniques. Because a state transition constantly maintains a high search efficiency, this problem solving operation apparatus can reach an optimum solution in a short amount of time.

  • Patent number: 5751296
Abstract: A video presentation system is provided which permits a process in which, when an object in motion video image is handled, an action relating to the object is executed, without increasing load on a central processing unit or a memory. Subject-of-operation information, which defines objects to be handled by a user in relation to each of frames of video data at a transitional phase of time-varying motion of each object, is stored in video operation information retaining means, and when a user operation takes place, the frame position of a currently reproduced video image is acquired from video driving/processing means while screen coordinates of the object are acquired from a coordinates specifying device. Based on the acquired data, video operation information processing means searches the subject-of-operation information to identify the object handled by the user.

  • Patent number: 5539811
Abstract: A visual communication is performed between a calling party and a called party through a plurality of channels. After the parties are connected through a first channel, an available telephone number of a second channel stored in a BAS control portion is read to a TNI control portion on each of the parties, and the TNI control portions of the parties exchange the available telephone numbers. Thereafter, when an incoming call having a telephone number is received through the second channel by a call control processing portion of the called party, the telephone number of the call is compared with the available telephone number of the second channel by an ICJ portion.

  • Patent number: 5156884
Abstract: The inventive method comprises the steps of coating the substrate surface with a coating solution containing .beta.-diketone complex of a metallic element in an aprotic polar solvent, drying and irradiating the coating film on the surface with ultraviolet light, optionally, followed by a heat treatment to form an electrically insulating oxidized metal film on the surface. By virtue of the ultraviolet irradiation, the oxidized metal film can be imparted with increased insulation even by omitting the heat treatment or by decreasing the temperature of the heat treatment so that the adverse influences on the characteristics of the substrate can be minimized.
