Patent number: 7193334Abstract: A controller for an electronic key system including a portable device and an engine. When the ID code of the portable device cannot be authenticated, the controller instructs the driver of the necessary operations. When a transmitter circuit is transmitting a request signal but a receiver circuit does not receive a signal including an ID code matching the ID code stored in a memory, an authentication ECU authenticates a transponder code of the portable device with a stored transponder code to enable the starting of the engine. The authentication ECU displays the necessary operations for performing transponder code authentication.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 2005Date of Patent: March 20, 2007Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai Rika Denki SeisakushoInventors: Takayuki Hiramitsu, Kiyokazu Ohtaki, Tomohiro Ohmura, Toshiki Akita, Teruya Tomiyasu, Noriyasu Onishi, Manabu Mizutani

Patent number: 6759615Abstract: A lock pin (9) is mounted on an operating member (4), with its proximal end portion (9a) fitted therein. A distal end portion (9b) of this lock pin can slide in a cam groove so as to releasably hold the operating member in two positions. A holding spring (10) is mounted on the operating member, and urges the lock pin toward a bottom surface of the cam groove. A pin engagement portion (15), which engages the lock pin to prevent the dropping of the lock pin in a condition before the operating member is mounted, is formed on the operating member. An engagement cancellation portion, which disengages the lock pin from the pin engagement portion in a mounted condition of the operating member, is formed on a switch base.Type: GrantFiled: March 12, 2003Date of Patent: July 6, 2004Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai Rika Denki SeisakushoInventors: Hiroaki Yamaguchi, Toshiki Akita

Patent number: 5892192Abstract: An operation device for a vehicle, capable of being used in a vehicle air conditioner system. The operation device has front panels that have a light transmissive portion, and a flexible printed circuit board shaped to correspond to the arrangement of the front panels. The flexible printed circuit board includes a plurality of light emitting elements at positions respectively corresponding to the positions of the front panels. There are switching means, disposed at the rear of the printed circuit and arranged so that these switching means are operated in response to the operation of the front panels. The rear portion of the front panel can be moved together with light emitting elements in response to the operation of the front panel.Type: GrantFiled: October 18, 1996Date of Patent: April 6, 1999Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai Rika Denki SeisakushoInventors: Kazuyoshi Ishiguro, Toshiki Akita

Patent number: 5442974Abstract: A fitting groove 46 comprised of a first groove 48 and a second groove 50 is formed in a holder connected to an operation knob. As a pin 54 of a shaft 52 is inserted in the fitting groove 46, the shaft 52 is connected to a holder 24, i.e., the operation knob. As a result, even in a shift-lock state in which the axial movement of the shaft 52 is prevented, it is possible to carry out without trouble the operation of selecting a shift position N, D, or 2 by the rotation of the holder 24 as well as the operation of selecting a shift position L involving the rotation and axial movement of the holder 24. In addition, it is possible to set a multiplicity of shift positions which are selected by the holder 24.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 1994Date of Patent: August 22, 1995Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai-Rika-Denki-SeisakushoInventors: Satoshi Sugimoto, Toshiki Akita, Yoshinori Hattori, Kazuyoshi Ishiguro

Patent number: 5187335Abstract: The switch includes a case, first and second manipulation members, two switching mechanisms, cam projections two locking members, guide grooves, and an operating member. The guide grooves for guiding the locking members are arranged so that tip ends of the locking members can be put in contact with the operation member for forcibly returning the manipulation members from a pressed-in position to a released position and that the tip ends are prevented from facing the operation member when the tip ends are located in a normal paths of the guide grooves, thereby preventing deformation of locking members and damages of the cam projections due to an erroneous pressing operation.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 1991Date of Patent: February 16, 1993Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai Rika Denki SeisakushoInventors: Takahiko Fukuyama, Satosi Kozawa, Kazuyoshi Ishiguro, Toshiki Akita, Seiji Hori
