  • Publication number: 20240108105
Abstract: A slide fastener includes a pair of waterproof stringers comprising a pair of woven and/or knitted fastener tapes, a pair of coil elements respectively secured to opposing side-edge portions of the pair of fastener tapes, and waterproof films respectively overlaid via adhesives on tape top surfaces of the fastener tapes of the pair of fastener tapes, and a slider that moves forward to engage the pair of coil elements and moves rearward to disengage the pair of coil elements. Each of the waterproof films has a film edge positioned over a space between the opposing side-edge portions of the pair of fastener tapes, the film edge supported by a supporting portion made of the adhesive solidified, the supporting portion partially occupying the space between the opposing side-edge portions of the pair of fastener tapes, and the supporting portion having a thickness greater than a thickness of the film edge.

  • Patent number: 10426233
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a waterproof fastener tape includes the steps of: forming a viscous waterproof layer on a releasable substrate; attaching the viscous waterproof layer formed on the releasable substrate to a fastener tape base fabric, and peeling the releasable substrate off the viscous waterproof layer that has been attached to the fastener tape base fabric; promoting curing of the viscous waterproof layer formed on the fastener tape base fabric to form a reduced-viscosity waterproof layer; and after the promoting of curing of the viscous waterproof layer, covering an exposed surface of the reduced-viscosity waterproof layer formed on the fastener tape base fabric with a releasable cover.

  • Patent number: 10369765
Abstract: A water-proof fastener tape of an environment-conscious type fabricated using a reduced amount of an organic solvent is provided. The fastener tape includes a base fabric and a water-stop film laminated to at least one surface of the base fabric, the water-stop film includes a surface layer of a polyurethane film and an adhesive layer of a cured product of an aqueous polyurethane adhesive adjacent to the surface layer so that the fastener tape has a laminate structure.

  • Publication number: 20130305499
Abstract: There are provided arc a fastener chain with a separable bottom end stop capable of increasing the reinforcement force of a portion to which the separable bottom end stop is attached—without using a reinforcing tape and keeping aesthetic appearance, and a method for producing the fastener chain. The fastener chain includes reinforced portions into which a curing adhesive has penetrated and cured, and has a misalignment-free strength of 100 N or more at the reinforced portion. The method for producing a fastener chain includes preparing a fastener chain including a plurality of element intermittent portions, attaching separable bottom end stop to each of the element intermittent portions, impregnating each of the element intermittent portions with a curable curing adhesive having a viscosity of 100 to 2,000 mPa S and a curing the curing adhesive which has penetrated into the element intermittent portions.
