  • Patent number: 11930160
Abstract: A polarization imaging unit 20 acquires a polarized image including polarization pixels with a plurality of polarization directions. An information compression unit 40 sets reference image information based on polarized image information of reference polarization pixels with at least a plurality of polarization directions in the polarized image and generates difference information between the polarized image information of each of polarization pixels different from the reference polarization pixels in the polarized image and the reference image information. In addition, the information compression unit 40 reduces the amount of information of the difference information generated for each of the polarization pixels with the plurality of polarization directions to generate compressed image information including the reference image information and the difference information with the reduced amount of information.

  • Patent number: 5509668
Abstract: A mechanical seal for pressurized fluid pumps including rotary and non-rotating seal members that are compressed together. The rotary seal member is fixed to a drive shaft and includes a contact sealing surface. The non-rotational seal member is also positioned about the drive shaft in a manner that allows for axial but not rotational movement. When a biasing force is placed against one side of the non-rotational seal member the opposite side, the non-rotating contact sealing surface, is pressed into contact with the complimentary rotary seal member contact sealing surface thus providing a mechanical seal.

  • Patent number: 4979854
Abstract: A flash removing method is provided for cutting off with a reamer which is freely movable while in contact with a polymeric molded product within a predetermined range of pressing forces. The reamer is provided with blades having normal clearance angles of substantially zero degrees and the flanks of the blades follow the flash-forming region. The reamer is controlled in radial position according to the shape of the polymeric molded product, so that the reamer always receives a constant radial load from the product to leave even traces after the flash removal. A solidified gate is cut off before the flash removal. A flash removing apparatus for performing the method is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4773156
Abstract: In an apparatus for securing parts to an assembly body, a part conveyor means receives a plurality of parts arranged on a lot basis from a part storage. The part conveyor means is moved by the arm of the apparatus for driving parts up to the proximity of the assembly body. Since the arm of the apparatus for securing parts is equipped with a part securing means, the part securing means receives the parts from the part conveyor means individually a plurality of times and secures the parts to the assembly body.

  • Patent number: 4699584
Abstract: This invention discloses a die opening device for a molding machine. One upper die segment is attached to the underside of an upper die plate tiltable relative to the surface of a floor on which the molding machine is installed and, at the same time, one lower die segment is opposed to the upper die segment and attached to a lower die plate adapted to be reciprocated vertically in a substantially perpendicular direction by a hydraulic cylinder. The upper die plate and the lower die plate are cooperatively connected to each other with connection means in such a manner that a descent of the lower die plate will tilt the upper die plate and raise the worker side thereof. Owing to the inclination thus produced, the molding groove in the upper die segment is opposed to the worker.
