  • Patent number: 4973311
Abstract: An aspirator for an endoscopic system has a suction nozzle for aspirating obstacles and disposed at an end of an endoscope, a suction pump, a suction flask for receiving the aspirated obstacles, and a suction conduit for connecting the suction nozzle to the suction pump via the suction flask. The aspirator further comprises an electromagnetic valve disposed in the suction conduit, and an electromagnetic valve controller. The electromagnetic controller controls the electromagnetic valve such that the suction conduit is closed when an aspiration command signal is not supplied from an aspirator button during the operation of the suction pump, and such that the suction conduit is alternately opened and closed when the aspiration command signal is supplied from the aspirator button during the operation of the suction pump.

  • Patent number: 4844052
Abstract: An apparatus for transmitting liquid and gas in an endoscope comprising conduits for transmitting liquid and gas to an observation optical system to clean the observation optical system; and an automatic change-over device for sequentially operating both modes of the liquid and gas transmissions by turning on and off only a liquid transmitting switch disposed in an operating portion. The automatic change-over device comprises a first electromagnetic valve disposed in the liquid transmitting conduit, a second electromagnetic valve disposed in the gas transmitting conduit, a circuit for connecting the first and second electromagnetic valves to the liquid transmitting switch of the operating portion, and a control section for controlling the operations of the electromagnetic valves.

  • Patent number: 4836187
Abstract: A constant pressure apparatus of an endoscope includes a gas supplying conduit for cleaning an optical observation system, a sucking conduit for constantly holding the inner pressure of a body, and an insertion port for inserting a device for medical treatment into the body. The constant pressure apparatus comprises a pressure detector disposed in a portion of the gas supplying conduit and detecting the pressure in the gas supplying conduit. The pressure detector is electrically connected to a control device for controlling the inner pressure of the body. A gas supplying device for adjusting the inner pressure of the body is disposed in the insertion port and may comprise a fiber for transmitting laser into which a cooling conduit for receiving carbon dioxide is inserted. Electromagnetic valves are disposed in the gas supplying conduit, the sucking conduit and the gas supplying means, respectively, and are operated by signals from the control device.
